Chapter 60: duocast Kaytlyn and Silvyr - Godspawn

The time for revenge was nigh as Silvyr snuck in through the open window. All he had to do was use the cursed scroll on the violin, and Varick couldn’t play anything but high-pitched screeches. Luckily, the horse had left his instrument case on his bed.

β€œI wouldn’t do that if I were you. That case is booby-trapped,” a voice near the half-elf called out. Turning quickly, Silvyr spotted a cape penguin on the floor. Surely, this well-dressed bird couldn’t have just spoken to him.

β€œFranz! What are you doing?” Kaytlyn stopped mid-sentence as she entered the bedroom and spotted Silver. Quickly, Kaytlyn grabs Brick Brick from her purse. β€œTell me how you do your hair, then get out before we play catch the brick.”

β€œLady Kaytlyn, that’s Silvyr Rose,” the penguin informs the young fennec. β€œHe came to hear my tale as well.”

β€œβ€œYes! Silver Rose is here to listen to a bird tell a story,” The half-elf lied, not wanting to get bricked.

β€œHmm, you look less troll-like than Varick said, but he does have all your music disc things,” Kaytlyn squinted a little, examining the bard before motioning to a shelf full of records. β€œAnyways, sit down, and Franz will tell us a story.”

β€œOookkkaaayyy,” Silvyr nods, sitting on the floor with Kaytlyn.

β€œLong ago in the faraway land of New England, a group of humans tried to reach for power beyond their grasp and paid the price for their foolishness,” Franz began his tale of alien monsters from beyond the star and incomprehensible horrors.
