Boss attacks: Flash 2-1

    The kids were being babysat by their grandma, the shop was closed and locked up for the night, and the table was set for a romantic dinner. Varick cooked up a wonderful pasta dinner with chicken cutlets and garlic bread. Once Raine entered the door, they were immediately swept off their feet and into a long, romantic kiss by the blonde Clydesdale. It had been some time since the two had time for dinner alone. 

    “What is the occasion lover boy,” Raine asked as the kiss ended.
    
    “Thursday,” Varick laughed as he pulled out a chair for the snow leopard. With a snap, the candles on the table lit themselves with a warm blue and purple flame. The brown horse turned the overhead lights off and served the food. Knowing his lover’s need for sugar, a bottle of the finest maple syrup that Varick could find was already on the table.

    “You think of everything, don’t you,” the blue and green spotted snow leopard purred as they poured the syrup all over their dinner. This act would’ve made Varick’s stomach turn when they first met, but he felt too used to it. 

    “Oh, this is just the beginning of our night together,” the equine tailor winked across the table. “Don’t fill up on bread. I’ve got a surprise in store for dessert and afterward.” The pair locked eyes across the table as they ate faster.
