Chapter 14: Portal Posi - issues, indeed - 346 words

9. Draw or write about your character rescuing Martus.

A sharp, vermilion gaze ran over the scene unfolding in front of its field of vision. Ain placed his hand above his eyes, as if shielding them from a sun that didn't shine.

If that damsel in distress was indeed the guild famous Martus, the guy could reach an impressively high octave. The impossible screeching almost hurt his ears.

Someone walked closer and halted beside him. Ain didn't feel the need to see who, but the same couldn't be said of his interest of striking a conversation: "Any ideas on how to get the high-pitched blonde out of that mess?"

Caspian crossed his arms and scoffed. He watched Martus get dragged into a portal after an insane Thath. Must've been Posi - but she wasn't the eternal's point of interest right now. "I'm not going to help him."

Ain couldn't help his face from twisting across the territory of confusion. He turned to the stranger and opened his mouth, right before clasping it shut instantly after. Man, he had to up his height game, clearly. He quickly cleared his throat. "Oh? Did he hurt you or something?"

Caspian didn't like the way the other's tone skirted the rims of mockery. "The rooms he rents hurt me," the neonpole seethed quietly under his breath.

"Uh-huh," Ain acknowledged the questionable argument with a jestful nod. "Daddy issues, I presume?"

The way the Athos turned to him was a lot colder than what he had anticipated. The cyan-accented skyscraper's head turned so slowly and smoothly, that it almost sent chills down even Ain's spine - but just almost.

The red-eyed menace clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, and walked past the stranger. "I take that as a yes."

Caspian could only stare after the jackal-eared man. Just before he hopped into the portal Martus had been dragged through, the eternal snapped out of it. "Oi! I'm not done with you!"

That didn't stop Ain. His chuckle distorted with the portal's scrambling waves as he disappeared into its staticky maw.

Caspian growled under his breath, and ran after him.

I really like how you use words and break everything up, the text is very pleasant to read~

The scene you picked is a very good choice for my character, he does come off as a mocking idiot but would still help others if they need rescuing. I love how Caspian is bickering with him, it comes off as very natural and Ain would definitely react the way you depicted him.

Makes me think about how this would continue after they enter the portal together, love me some good food to think about! Thank you so much for including him, I'll definitely cherish this little story Heart
