"This was the stupidest idea from your snake-brain yet!" Caspian yelled at the Dinakian that rushed forward in front of him - although he should've known that insulting her heritage only spelled out his own doom. The death glare he received from Hiisi made the eternal stumble, and fall face first to the ground. The serpentine woman slid to a halt, and turned around in her tracks.

Whatever this all was, it was far from good. It was like a shockwave from an explosion had traveled over the mountains and dust-covered plains. The only warning sign apart from the wyrm's roar was only a short, near-nonexistent wail from the crystals that it affected.

And in an instant, it all created a chaos brewed out of terror and agony. It was like water itself had been replaced with razor-sharp shards of crystal. The serrated needles poured down like rain and hail, the dragon's roar echoing across the sky like thunder.

Hiisi rushed back to Caspian, and grabbed his arms. This idiot apparently couldn't stay on his feet for even five seconds. She couldn't understand how he was even alive at this point. The Dinakian pulled the clumsy shifter up, but instead of letting him go, she moved her grip to one of his wrists.

And she ran, as fast and as erratically as she could to avoid as many crystal shards as possible - all the while she dragged Caspian behind her like a sack of sprouting potatoes. She'd sort the snake incident later.
