Background story:

He isn't potentially evil but enjoys causing mischief, especially among weak minded people to watch them argue and fall apart.

Ain is an eldritch being that survives by feeding on the life force of his pact partners/worshippers (he mainly focusses on finding possible pact partners rather than worshippers). He is able to merge particles of himself with his partner and thereby enhances their abilities and grants them magic. The more the partner uses those benefits, the hungrier Ain gets and needs to feed more often. It all comes at a cost afterall. 

There is much he already explored during his life span but still so much more to learn and to try out and he doesn't shy away from any possibilities and always encourages everyone to do the same. He's a very fun person to be with due to him being able to change into basically everything and always being down for fun and banter.

In his past he used to be one of the older brothers among his big family and they've been very poor. His parents used to occasionally steal from those with riches and one day robbed a tomb of someone who was put to rest only recently. Little did they know that the person used to be a dark magician in secret and were met with a horrible death while Ain and his siblings stood watch outside and waited for them to return.

A gnarly voice echoed through his mind, calling him inside and he could do little against the allure behind it, blindly following. Finding himself in front of the tomb, his parents dead in front of it, there was an abomination swirling above. Several eyes stared at him while black goo dripped to the ground.

He doesn't remember how he got absorbed by the entity which guarded the tomb of the magician but his body and mind merged with it, now being part of something greater.
