A Journey leading to the Unexpected

Back in the Leaf Village…

Gaara and Jason talking about Tausha’s condition, Gaara flipping out. Jason trying to calm him and let him know that things are ok. “She’s pregnant!” said Gaara causing Jason to Shush him. Jason paused as he looked out at the window. “What is it?” asked Gaara. “Nothing, it’s just my Hawk making his way here is all. He’s my messenger and I can see through his eyes. As the Hawk flies I get literally a bird’s eye view. Right now I better head off to get him. Well, thanks for letting me stay here, and Oh…(Jason leaned over to Gaara) what ever you do… don’t over react, you don’t want to put Tausha into a panic.” Said Jason. Gaara nodded. “Bye…See you guys later.” With that said Jason left the room.

Garra fell back on the couch where he was now slumped, awestruck. “Oh man…now what the hell do we do now? Man…” Tausha gets out of the bathroom where she noticed that Jason was gone. “Where did Jason go?” asked Tausha making her way to the couch wearing her favorite PJ’s of blue and lilt puppies of pugs all over the pants and a bigger picture on her sweater. “He had to take off for something.” Said Gaara using a worried tone to his voice. Tausha felt like there was something bothering him. Tausha sat next to Gaara resting her head on his shoulder. “What’s wrong?” asked Tausha. “Nothing, just a bit boring is all. The rain has not stopped.” Said Gaara. “Well, at least there are some videos to watch.” Tausha getting back up and looked through the selection on the shelf. “Oh Yes! Let’s watch AVP.” Tausha all excited, but noticed another movie that caught her eye. “Wait, even better…(Grabs the DVD) Original Sin!” Tausha open the case and turned on both TV and DVD on; placed the disk the door shuts and Tausha sat back down with Gaara.

Down in to Town…

Jason saw the Hawk and happen to be there in time to see what it had on it’s leg. Taking it out and read the detail. With out a second thought, he placed the scroll into his pocket, and wrote a small scroll of when he & two others that will be joining him there. Placed the scroll into the canister, and told the Hawk to take flight and to fly fast. Jason thought of two people that would join in. He heads off to the House where Shino lived.

Shino’s place…

Kohaku sat on the couch curled up in a heavy blanket, as he was asleep on Shino’s lap. Nothing but the sound of the heavy down poor of rain echoed around the house. Shino pulled the leaver off the side of the couch for it to recline, and carefully eased it back until it stopped. Now more comfortable than he was before, until he felt Kohaku stir. He looked down to make sure she didn’t wake up; instead to see her shift now laying in front of him and her arm was draped around Shino’s back. Kohaku felt a bit uncomfortable in her position. She started to get up, and move but Shino stopped her. Kohaku still sleepy eyed looked at Shino. “Hey…it wasn’t comfy where I shifted.” Said Kohaku. “I cannot let you move so suddenly, remember you were injured.” Said Shino. Kohaku began to move anyway. “I now, but how I was laying down didn’t feel good. It was starting to hurt my back.” Said Kohaku she got up and stood and began to stretch out. “Well, I need to change these clothes, I’m starting to see fish netting markings on my skin…Eww.” Said Kohaku.

“Ok…but you are aware that your at my place?” said Shino. “Well, at least help me find something for me to barrow for tonight.” Asked Kohaku. Shino got up from the chair and had her fallow him to his room to get some clothes. Shino yanked on his old dresser that never really worked for him since he was a child. He pulls out what he had inside. A tank top, sweatpants and a hoodie with a zipper. He handed it to Kohaku for her to change. Shino waited just around the other side of the wall outside of his room. A few minutes later Kohaku was done, and walked out meeting Shino leaning against the wall. “Ah this is so much better, though I do have to get my clothes from home… mine are well no more since the battle.” Said Kohaku.” The two headed back to the living room. Both sat back on the couch.

~*~ Flash Back ~*~

After the battle Shino rushed Kohaku back to his place where he wanted to make sure that she was all right. Once home, Shino noticed that no one else was home with out waiting any more time he laid Kohaku on the couch and went to the hallway to grab two blankets, and a few pillows for Kohaku to rest on. Getting back to the room and dropped the items near by and checked on Kohaku incase something went wrong. She was still breathing and her wounds she once had began to heal up on their own. Shino adjusted the pillows for Kohaku and draped the blankets on her and se sat on the couch where he pulled Kohaku carefully up against him. He was pissed off at him self for not being there in time for Kohaku. Shino holding on to Kohaku tightly while his mind plagued him form the battle and to what happened to both Kohaku and Kira. In Shino’s Mind: ** I am so sorry Kohaku, and even worse to see Kira. I cannot imagine myself seeing Kohaku that way if she got his the way Kira did. That was a cruel and fatal way for that to even happen. Makoto… Dam…He was being held while that Vial Bitch Katsume made him watch as she stabbed both Kira and Kohaku. **

~*~ Flash back to the part of Makoto & Kira ~*~

Shino watched in horror of what happened to Kira, as he saw Makoto crawl up to Kira rolling her off of Kohaku. Pulling Kira into his arms with his head down, and his hand placed on her chest only to see that there was a lot of blood covering his hand. Shino reached over to get Kohaku and pulled her close to him. Shino sees the wound on Kohaku, and noticed the pain she was feeling while trying to hide her face but Shino knew that she was crying as silently as possible for him not to notice.

~*~ End of the flash back of both couples ~*~

Kohaku noticed that Shino was looking down at the floor, and wanted to know what was bothering him so much. “Shino? (Kohaku rested her hand on Shino’s leg and looked at Shino.) Are you ok? What’s bothering you?” said Kohaku as she felt the zipper to the sweater pulling on some of her hair. “Owe, Dammit… Ugh. (Kohaku yanked off the sweater off of her and let it hit the floor) dam those zippers.” Yelled Kohaku. A loud thunder cracked through the silence, and soon the lights went out. “Oh man!” said Kohaku only to fell someone grabbing her around the waist and pulling on her. Kohaku freaked out a bit only to notice that it was Shino. “Hey, looks like you got out of your trance there, mind telling me wha..” before Kohaku could finish her sentence, Shino’s lips crashed on to hers. Kohaku in shock, until she heard him mumble something to her; Kohaku tried a few times to ask what he saying. Kohaku pulled herself away for a moment with her cat eyes and able to see in total darkness, she saw Shino’s eyes filled with sorrow. “Shino…what’s wrong and what was it that you were saying to me?” she asked.

Kohaku brushed her hand on Shino’s face. “I…I’m sorry…(Kohaku flinched) I’m sorry I wasn’t there in time to prevent that attack; I caused you to deal with a lot of pain.” Said Shino. “Shino…” soothed Kohaku. “I see you more than just a friend Kohaku.” Said Shino making Kohaku gasp to his response while trying to fight her emotions setting in her, yet failed, Kohaku’s memory traced back at the battle and remembered of what took place & what happened to her then; her eyes starting to fill with tears. “Shino…” Kohaku’s voice starting to crack. “I love you too much, yet to see you injured or in great pain it kills me to see you in that way.” Said Shino pulling Kohaku closer to him; his hand reaching out to Kohaku’s face feeling warm tears streaming out of her eyes. Kohaku used her hands to wipe her tears away from her eyes. She looked back into Shino’s eyes and was about to say that she too loved him, but never got the chance when he kissed her once again. Kohaku wrapped her arms around Shino’s shoulders. Unnoticed to them, the couch had a problem while they sat in the center part of the couch; it broke in two now the couch looked like a bed broken in half.

The two couples stopped and couldn’t see, at least Kohaku can, but not Shino. “OMG, did we just break the couch?” asked Shino. Kohaku began to laugh. “I guess, but Isn’t this the same couch that your Dad took in to get repaired months ago?” asked Kohaku. “Yea…my Dad will be so dam mad when he sees this. I know he’s going to raise hell when he sees this.” Said Shino.

Just then a door flung open with a bright flashlight shinning in, and blinding both Shino & Kohaku. “Shino! If your going to make out like that…at least do that sort of thing in your room... What the? You broke the couch!” yelled Shino’s Dad. “Oh no, I’m dead.” Said Shino as he helped Kohaku up on her feet. Soon the two saw another figure fallowing his Dad. “Who’s with you Dad?” asked Shino worried of what his Dad was going to do to him & in front of Kohaku. Suddenly the lights flickered back on. Kohaku adjusted her eyes to the lighting then recognized who it was. “Jason! Haven’t seen you in a while, what brings you here?” asked Kohaku. Shino’s Dad looks at the couch, and sees the cause of the damage to the couch. “Oh no! That moron used plywood… Dammit. I will kick his ass tomorrow morning!” Yelled Shino’s Father. “Yea, but He’ll more than likely forget all about it by morning.” Whispered Shino to Kohaku, making her giggle.

“Well, I was told of some important news, and a mission to go on. I was actually looking for the two of you.” Said Jason making both Shino and Kohaku shocked. “Really? By who? And where are we going?” asked Kohaku. “Sounds like we need to start moving.” Said Shino. “I can tell you both on the way, for now I need you both to pack your supplies, and weapons.” Jason Instructed. “Oh, I have to stop by and get my things.” Said Kohaku but stopped in her tracks when she saw her bag dropping to the floor and looked up at Jason. “I stopped by at your place first, I think your mom might have over did on the packing there.” Said Jason. Kohaku picking up her bag. “Well, then I should start changing from this to something else. The we can head off.”

Kohaku runs into Shino’s bedroom to change. Shino & Jason standing in the living room. “This mission, what is it we are out for?” asked Shino. “ I have told your Father of the situation, basically we are heading to where the Akatsuki, I was told where they’re hid out was. BUT, we are not going there for a fight or to capture any of them.”
Shino looked a bit confused as to why. “So, I take it that the have someone there?” asked Shino. “My Sister is there, and so is her…teammate Vince.” Jason finishing. Kohaku comes in to the room. “Alright I’m ready.” All three left the house, and began on their journey to where the Akatsuki’s hide out.
