TFOTFW: Chapter 13

In The Sand Village…


Kankuro was recovering from the battle that took place a day ago, forcing himself out of the bed only to crash onto the floor knocking his right shoulder out of place. “URGH…Dammit!” yelled Kankuro adding more pain to his battered body. Osiris comes into the room, and calls out for Ophelia. Osiris stays be the door way as Ophelia walks into the room. “Kankuro, what part of STAY IN THE BED, did you not understand? Oh Dammit, you knocked you shoulder out of place.” Said Ophelia looking more pissed off as she grabs Kankuro’s right arm and pulled and twisted it a bit for it to go back into place, earning another yell from Kankuro. “That’s what you get for not listening to me, GAWD! I have enough on my plate you know. This time if you don’t stay I will end up calling Temari to send Gaara out here.” Threatened Ophelia as she helped Kankuro up to his feet and back on the bed. She leaves the room in a huff. Only to start hearing her holler out to the twin boys age 12 down the hallway. “Adam…Luke…those chores are not done!” said Ophelia starting to get very tired watching 5 kids; the older twin boys (Different mother...she left… & another story there) The twin girls that Ophelia had a year ago and watching Osiris.

Osiris walked up to Kankuro’s bedside. “Ophelia is really tired, I can’t stay here I have to help her out.” Said Osiris as he was going to turn around, a hand stopped him grabbing onto his wrist. “Let me know…if one of the twin boys are bothering you again. After all, they are also responsible for their actions and they should mind Ophelia.” Said Kankuro as he let go of Osiris’s wrist. Osiris nodded to Kankuro and headed off to help Ophelia.


In the Leaf Village…


Midnight arrived in the Leaf village, and began his search on 4 ninjas that would be willing to go with him and to be on the look out at the Sand Village at Ophelia & Jason’s house. Kakashi, Asuma, and Gai stood around the one building talking; Midnight went over to talk to them. Hitori who was walking and reading a book that grabbed his attention, he fell over Midnight. “UGH... What the… Wow Umm * laughs sweat drop * I guess I should be paying more attention.” Said Hitori as he scratches the back of his head slightly embarrassed of his clumsiness. Off the side Kakashi tried to hide his laughter but failed. Gai and Asuma caught the scene that took place before them. Midnight merely ignored Hitori’s clumsiness. “You, come with me.” Was all that Midnight said to Hitori causing him to wonder why and what for. Getting up he fallows Midnight to the three senseis. “Oh, I remember you; Midnight…Jason’s panther right?” asked Gai. “Uh… no, I am Dawn’s panther. I came here to look for 4 ninjas willing to fallow me & guard/watch over Jason’s house…Dawn’s older brother. Only for a few days is all I ask.” Asked Midnight. Hitori raised up his hand. “I’ll tag along… err well if you don’t mind.” Said Hitori.

“Well, I have some things I need to do and training my students.” Said Kakashi. “Same here for me, mainly to help my favorite & top student Rock Lee to regain his strength.’ Said Gai. “I’ll take this opportunity. So far you have two of us…and need two others Midnight.” Said Asuma. “Hey, You know I can locate both Shinkamaru and Temari. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind.” Asked Hitori. “Very well, go and seek them out…” said Midnight. Hitori took off.

“There was an attack in the Sand Village inside Jason’s house right?” asked Kakashi.” Asked Kakashi. “Yes… there was, and unexpected attack. This attack was mainly to kill Osiris. Lead by Sasuke’s henchmans.” Said Midnight. “Then…that would explain why Kankuro left 2 nights ago. I knew something was up. Just not to this extent.” Said Kakashi.

Hitori returned back with both Shinkamaru and Temari. “Ok, they are here.” Said Hitori. “Oh man 3 days of walking…this is going to be such a drag.” Said Shinkamaru lowering his head down starring at the ground. “Nonsense…Once we leave the gates here…I can actually get there before the end of the night.” Said Midnight. The four made their way to the gate leaving the Leaf Village. Once the gated closed, Midnight transformed himself into a gigantic panther allowing all four of the ninja’s to hope on his back and head off to the Sand Village.

Sure enough Nighttime was creeping up, and yet Midnight and the group of four arrived at the house. Midnight returning back to his normal size again. All 4 of the group landed on the ground except for Hitori and Shinkamaru. “Oh man…what a drag... I must have swallowed at least 3,000 different kinds of bugs... BLAH!” said Shinkamaru. “Same…UUGH…here…I think one bug landing in my eyes... Ahhh!” said Hitori. Asuma remembered this place too well. “Well, here we are, might as well head inside and let the lady of the house know what we are all here for.” Said Asuma walking up to the door. Hitori, Shinkamaru, and Temari followed while Midnight stood outside and guarded the house.

Asuma knocked on the door where a busy looking Ophelia answered the door. “Oh Asuma, and you guys, great to see you all. Come inside.” Said Ophelia. All walked into the room and noticed that the house was full of activity. Mainly the twin boys laughing at Osiris who freaked out trying to help vacuumed the one room but the dam thing was quick and literally took Osiris for a ride down the hallway. Adam and Luke were laughing their Asses off at him. Ophelia was ready to yell at the boys for who knows how many times now today, but Asuma told her that he would handle them.

Heading to the hallway where he saw Osiris yanked the cord away from the wall clearly pissed off at the vacuum taking off on him for a ride. “Hey!” said Asuma startling the twin boys, looking at the stranger in the hallway. “You both need to listen to your mother, you don’t want me to tell your Father about how you both are driving her nuts do ya?” asked Asuma. The boys stood up bowing their heads at him and telling him sorry. “Now, whatever you guys did to Osiris apologize, and finish what your mother told you to do in the first place.” Said Asuma. The boys were kind of rude to Osiris, but continued to finish what Ophelia had told them to do a while ago yet never even started.

“Osiris, what happened to the vacuum?” asked Asuma. Osiris catching his breath. “This stupid thing has too much suction and took me for a ride down this hallway, I asked for the twins help but all they did was laugh at me.” Said Osiris wrapping the cord back on the vacuum cleaner. Asuma saw the messy floor and told Osiris to relax on the couch as he unwrapped the cord to finish the job for him. Asuma turned on the Vacuum. “Whoa... Dam... I can see why Osiris was freaking out…this does have a lot of power!” said Asuma controlling the vacuum cleaner as he vacuumed the crumbs on the floor. “Sheesh…at least there won’t be a crumb left on the floor with this much power.” Said Asuma now finished with the floor. Wrapping up the cord and asked Ophelia where the vacuum goes. Ophelia just asked him to leave it out; they use the thing a lot around the house. So, Asuma left the vacuum cleaner in front of the closet hallway.

Temari greeted Osiris as he plopped on the couch looking tired. “Hi Osiris, how are you and your Dad doing?” asked Temari sitting with Shinkamaru. “Dad’s been as ass… that’s what Ophelia said. Maybe you can make him stay put for once.” Said Osiris as he turned on the TV. Temari looked shocked, while Shinkamaru laughed. “He has, well then I guess I should see to that he’s not up to trying to set off Ophelia again.” Said Temari. “That’s better than Uncle Gaara; (Temari stopped to see why) Ophelia was tempted on calling up Gaara to straighten his “Ass” out for her.” Said Osiris earning another laugh from Shinkamaru.

Temari headed down the hallway and looked to see where her brother was. Peeking into the bedroom, sure enough there he was, trying to get up again. “Geeze, maybe I should call up Gaara and beat your ass to a point so that you won’t move Kankuro!” said Temari making Kankuro look up at her. “What you too? GAWD I need to get up I cannot just loaf around here you know!” said Kankuro. Temari folded her arms and tapped her right foot on the floor. “Just so you know, Asuma, Hitori, Shinkamaru and I are going to stay here for a few days and watch over this place. Besides you need to recover from the battle you had last night.” Said Temari. Kankuro was about to ask her how she knew that only to see her raise her left hand up to silence him. “I know what happened & the reason. Right now just stay put!” said Temari taking out her fan and used it on Kankuro as he flew back on the bed. “Dammit, you have any idea how long it took me to get up TEMARI!” said Kankuro fuming. “Yea just imaging yourself trying to get up after Gaara kicks your sorry ass!” said Temari as she put her fan back and walked out of the room.

In the other room…

Shinkamaru and Hitori sitting with Osiris on the couch watching The Avatar: The Last Airbender. “OMG, this cartoon rocks! Where was this when I was a kid?” asked Hitori. “This is by far the better version of cartoon shows if seen. These guys able to bend the earth elements. Who’s the bald kid?” asked Shinkamaru. “That’s Aang, he’s the last Airbender.” Said Osiris. “So, who is your favorite characters in this show?” asked Hitori. “So far…I like 3 in this one. Aang can master all four of the elements now. The other two are Zuko and Toph. So far Toph is my Favorite character!” said Osiris. “Can you image how kewl it would be to move things like that?” asked Hitori. “I like the fire bending myself” said Shinkamaru. Temari walking into the room overhearing the last part of the conversation. “Oh YES! The Avatar!” said Temari causing all three to look up behind the couch. “Please, you watch this too?” asked Hitori. “Yes I do, so what. Besides… I like the character Aang I mean having that ability to bend air… with out even using air!” said Temari causing both Shinkamaru & Hitori to laugh. “Man, there is no way anyone can do THAT.” Said Hitori. “Why not?” asked Osiris. “Well, simple…Umm..” Shinkamaru never got a chance to finish. “See those cans there that Ophelia put for you guys?” asked Osiris. The two look at it as if it was nothing. “ Yea, what’s your point?” asked Hitori. Osiris snickered standing up he slammed his floor on the floor and pushing his hands forward and back. “Catch!” said Osiris causing both of the guys to fumble after they caught the cans. “Oh Crap! That was awesome!” said Hitori as he began to open the soda can where it sprayed in his face. “Oh not kewl man… not kewl!” said Hitori whipping off the foam off his face and hands. Shinkamaru still amazed but smart enough not to open the can just yet. He taps on the top of the can to setting the soda in the can. Temari looking shocked. “That is so kewl! When did you start doing this Osiris?” asked Temari eager to know.

“I leaned the hard way a few days ago when the twin boys were harassing & toying with me. They locked me up in their clubhouse… I well got out... but I destroyed the clubhouse. So since then the twins are mad at me for doing that. Since then I practiced on some, only thing I can do is just move the ground a little bit.” Said Osiris.

The Next Morning…

Temari, Shinkamaru and Hitori helped out in the stables where Jason kept his livestock, and horses. Asuma smoking a cigarette watching the three working, off the side where Asuma had the twin boys cleaning out the stalls and hating every minute of it all. Ophelia standing next to Asuma. “I have no idea what to say, I mean I am thankful of you all helping me out here.” Said Ophelia. “Think nothing of it, after all, I am a close friend to your husband Jason. Now seeing the twin boys, I can see why he always says how they act and not listen to you. And being you had the twin girls last year, handling everything on your own here can be very stressful.” Said Asuma. Both looked to the other direction to see both Kankuro and Osiris.

Osiris was showing Kankuro on what he can do. Kankuro looking a bit shocked and as silly as it looked to them, Kankuro was trying to learn those moves, while 2-year-old Osiris showed him how. Kankuro caused an old dead to be lifted out of the ground. He panicked and made the large dead tree to fall on the ground. Osiris jumping up and down and clapping to Kankuro. Both Ophelia and Asuma laughed. “Wow, a 2 year old boy teaching his dad how to do that.” Said Asuma. ‘It’s called Earth Bending, Osiris has been practicing that for a while now.” Said Ophelia. “I think Kankuro used too much chakra, other than that that was pretty kewl to see that!” said Asuma. “The best part is that we don’t have to worry about taking down that old tree.” Said Ophelia.
