Ganymede's talisman is a preserved jawbone from their first hunt, preserved and turned into a necklace. It not only symbolizes a hunting dragon's strength, but the patience and care needed to keep the territory they guard in balance. The necklace worn over the heart reminds the hunter that they too will die and feed another one day. Ganymede's talisman in particular represents their first huge victory after months of struggle that their siblings didn't experience. They wear it as a medal so that all may see that the half-blind fledgling is just as good a hunter as any dragon.

Ravi was the success of experiments done by humans. They managed to turn a shadow into a conscious being. When Ravi finally escaped them, the only thing they took was a tablet. This tablet became life line for them, providing a place to record their thoughts, journeys and questions.

Violet's talisman is her lucky charm bracelet gifted to her by her older sister, Bianca. She is taking it with her on her journey because she feels that the barcelet is the source of her musical talent, and that it gives her the strength, courage, and ability to spread the gift of music.

The girl comes across the dying soldier when the sun crests over the sky. He gets a few extra days - she receives a ghost haunting in the periphery of her eyes, reminding her of the beauty and cruelty of life.

Kalei's talisman is a plastic medal, faded gold paint chipped away in places, scratched through wear and tear. A ribbon is threaded through it, where more things can be tied onto, but the blue that the ribbon is supposed to be has long gone as well. It is her medal, a symbol of her achievements and her scars.

Two small golden bells, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The bells where scratched and worn with time. Humans could not hear the bells if they were shaken. Shay carried them around on her belt or sword hilt as a reminder of how she got them. She carries them around with her because they where promise bells, she and her husband both had one before he passed. He gave her his bell to keep his promise alive. Though the bells serve as another person since humans can't hear it but demons can. The sound of the bell to demons would tell them the holders power level and how many people/demons they had slain.
