aster has the worst experience in his life: burst of anger

"... We don't have to fight, Aster." The Godspawn speaks, circling him.

Aster glares. "My sister-"

"She's not here."

"-You're lying!" Aster swings a vine at her, and she leaps out of the way, landing on a tree branch.

"Aster." The Godspawn looks down upon him. "You can become one of us. You can let go of your weak mortal flesh. You can even abandon that star in your chest..."

"Why would I-"

"We can find her."

Aster pauses.

"She's not here. You know she isn't here. You know you weren't chasing after her. You ran after them anyways because you wanted to believe, just for a second, she was here. You wanted to believe that you finally found her."

"No... No!" Aster yells

"... I know where she is." The Godspawn smiles. "She misses you. She thinks you gave up. She doesn't know how much you care. She doesn't know the lengths you'd go. She has her own house. She wishes you were there." She chuckles. "She had a dream you found her in a wheat field."

"I..." Aster blinks.

"You're tired of searching, aren't you?"

"... Yes." Aster says. "But... That won't drive me to become one of you!" 

"So you'll let her keep thinking you stopped looking?"

Aster smacks her out of her branch with a vine, the magic in his chest feeling red-hot. "Don't fucking say shit like that!" Another vine comes out and whips the Godspawn across the face. "Leave her out of your goddamn mouth!" She tries to get up, but Aster strikes her feet with a third vine, tumbling her down to the ground. "Hexi deserves better than this, and you deserve to fucking die for using her name that way!" He yells, whipping the Godspawn with vines all the while.

"BE MY GUEST!" The Godspawn yells as her blood coats the ground. "GOOD LUCK FINDING HER, PATHETIC MORTAL! YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE!"
