aster has the worst experience in his life: tossed in the well

Aster kept looking, of course.

What else was there to do? What else could be there to do?

"Hexi!" Aster yelled, running after the mudstained cat. "I'll protect you! I'm strong enough! HEXI!"

The cat jumped off a cliff, and Aster jumped as well, wings spreading to glide down after the freefalling feline.

However, something- pure happenstance? a strong gust of wind? a really forceful hand?- pushed Aster out of his gliding and into falling, and falling, and falling...

Aster yelped as he hit the ground. The bioluminescence of his ears' star fragments was enough to fill the cramped space with enough light to make out, vaguely (and if he got close enough to the walls), that it was a well of some sort.

"... What in the..." He stood up on his talons as he balanced himself up against the wall with his paws, and looked up, magic flowing through the star in his chest as he tried to sense for vines...

Luckily, he found one. "There we go!" He focused all his magic into it, and when it touched the tip of his head he began climbing up.

Unfortunately for anyone without wings, the vine ended long before you could climb out without it, but at least Aster didn't need to fly so far now.

With a deep breath, Aster jumped off the vine... and soared up and out, flying in a circle.

"Phew..." Aster climbed up during the final cycle. "Now to find my sister..."
