The Tales of Kassin Omaga: Kassin and Gabi Flower Date

Prompt #2 - Wildflower Festivals

 

Yes, the Castimeria Wildflower Festival! Kassin heard great things about this world and Gabi seemed excited to meet up with a friend here. A bit early in the day to visit just yet however , so Gabi took Kassin by the hand and led him through the streets to marvel at the flower display.

Kassin admits these flowers may have interesting properties but it seems to be a rather poor taste to just nab one off someone display decoration so he just grinned at Gabi as he sniffed the ones he informed the man was worth sniffing. Gabi seems to enjoy himself a bit, perhaps it is the plant in him…or maybe Kassin is just getting too jaded to enjoy the simple thing?

While Gabi was chatting over some trinket set out by a shop lady, Kassin noticed that while the morning sun rose higher, a bit of fog rolled out over the street like a hazeley carpet. There were rivers all about, not odd, but as he looked toward the grass and such, the morning dew started to reflect the sun from the mist like shining stars…Heh, so suppose he has not lost appreciation for simple things.

 

Soon the Morning was over and the streets started to fill, what more street vendors galore. Kassin follows Gabi as he looks at a lot of shops. A bit of guilt Kassin has Little finances to help get Gabi what they wish…Seeing him smile is a treat. That and Kassin has felt bad that due to his asexual nature, That his disinterest in Gabi in a sexual manner may make him feel undesirable.

 

For the longest of time, Kassin lost his taste to judge folk on how bangable…that is how the kids put it right? And to seek a partner that is more to them than mere bed warmers. Suddenly Gabi yelps as Kassin turns to see a Ceebi pestering him. A curious critter but Kassin decided curiosity later as he used an ability to communicate with it.

“And what are you after?” Kassin asked. While different then normal animals, most prefer to the point without flower words. They are not impressed with how much you say to get to a simple point.

 

“Sweet Flower? No Blossom?Look for nectar!” the Ceebi said excitedly. Kassin chuckles and reaches out, allowing the creature to move around his invasive arm and away from Gabi.

“Smell Sweet but No nectar. Flowers over there though…” Kassin points to the display and reluctantly the Ceebi accept this and fly off. Sensing he is not hound by the little guy, Gabi thanks him and asks Kassin if he can talk to the animal. Kassin admits it is one of his abilities, yes.

By noon, the two traveled much of the market place and decided to take a break by the town center. Sadly Kassin has little money as they plan their lunch break but before that, Gabi wants to check on Dolli to see how she is doing…Today the festival right? Clearly she is doing her awareness display!

Gabi went on excitedly about the adventure he had, after they made Dolli comfortable, they set out in search for the mysterious flower and Kassin listened with an smile.Seem like a lot of Guild mates are pretty strong, even the mouse-like girl who was a child? Not sure about that but it seems she still holds her own, or at least stays out of the way when things get too much so the rest do not get busy defending her. Momo sounds loving and strong, but familiar…He thinks he met her in passing in the hall. A loss for him, that for sure. Varick knows as he got him gear for Aridin, a businessman Kassin can respect…though it sounds like his fire power comes out differently then his own…

 

Before long Gabi finished his tale and left for Dolli to check it out, meanwhile Kassin left with his thoughts. He close his eyes and sense out to feel the vessel of throbbing hearts, the ground thudding, the wave of energy…even though he lose the ability to sense color and find detail, when sight gone he can ‘see’ everything around him…Strong ability but he use to be able to do this for nearly 300 feet and now it only an 50 foot radius…He in belief that while being in Paperverse, it stripping him of his older power and granting him new ability..Like these divine flames.

 

He frown in thoughts, the idea he does not know where his limits begin or end mean he could be a danger to himself or others…He could end up killing people if he slip…Not that he care about taking an life, but…as his own challenge to himself…it too easy to solve a problem with an death, harder to solve it and let lived. Being able to live forever means in the end they are most likely to die anyway, so there are no benefits to wasting the effort of getting your hands dirty.

Suddenly a sweet smell caught his scent and he looked up to see Gabi returning, looking in high spirits…Seem Dolli was in such high spirits she gave Gabi some coins for lunch. Sadly she is far too busy to join so it looks like Kassin and Gabi break time. Picking an outdoor cafe, it was already late after noon so a light snack before dinner at the hall.

 

As the two talk, Gabi curiously asks about how old Kassin was which he avoided answering directly, but mostly hinting that he may have a year or two over him, and the deeper question. Before long, the conversation about family comes up, a topic Kassin is proud of as he starts to list off children and wives from recent to the oldest…however Gabi has to stop him after he realizes he is going to need a notepad.

After Lunch the two travel to the closing stall as the evening bring about some flowers that close and it is good to get back to the guild hall. So they took the scenic route, traveling the alley. Kassin was enjoying Gabi having a good  time, Not sure if Gabi like the ideal of being loved for being himself and not because of his look, but there time to figure that out he supposed.

 

Before long they arrive in an close off alley in the darker part of the town where the sun rarely touch so folk avoided, 3 Ceebi in cages and 5 humans look to be making an deal with an Paper Demon…seeing they are cause, The Peperdemon opt out of the deal which upset the poacher who turn to the two who cost then an sale.

 

Gabi pushes Kassin behind him, his training kick in as he runs forward, a concussive seed bomb at one Poacher feets which blasts his legs out from under him as he grunt and falls to the ground. One Prone, and Three targeting him, Gabi grab the wrist of the one standing, slide under him as he slip a seed bomb so when the poacher face hit the ground it on the blast, knocking him out before Gabi kick up from the ground, head butting the next Poacher who is stunned.

Kassin just watches Gabi fight, very impressive indeed…a shame he can not trust himself to help but seems like Gabi not in need of any help of any kind…speaking of. Kassin felt the last poacher had slip pass and was aiming for the hostage approach. As he reaches for Kassin, Kassin unleashes his Predatory nature on him, the guy frozen in utter fear, like a rabbit before an apex predator open jaw and they can not move. Kassin only releases it a moment but just that small amount sends him screaming in terror into the night, Kassin kind of worries he may have shattered the guy's poor mind.

 

Gabi ran up to Kassin and asked if he was okay which he smiled and confirmed that thanks to him, he was. To avoid any more trouble they made haste for the hall with the cage Ceebi to report in, then spent the rest of the evening relaxing after a fun day at the festival.
