How to slay your dragon: Brave kid.

Vex entered the battlefield again. '"Okay Vex... what's the plan?" He asked himself as he cut down the crystal shards coming for him. But the barrage was slowly becoming too much for him then someone shoved him out of the way of one he definitely wouldn't have been able to just cut through. Vex looked over to see a young boy with pale skin and massive ears. '"Thanks kid." He said smiling and standing up.

 

'"No problem sir but we should probably do something more than just dodge and block the attacks of that thing." The Kid said looking at the wyrm.

 

Vex nodded. '"Yeah we should and I have an idea... Kid get on my back and hang on tight." He said calmly. 

 

'"I'm Piako by the way." The kid introduced himself quickly as he got on Vex's back.

 

'"Vex." Was all Vex said as an introduction before running with Piako on his back as Vex again used the wyrm's attacks as platforms and get them onto the Wyrm's back. Vex set the kid down before drawing his sword. '"Put your hand on the handle of this sword and channel your magic into it while I channel my own magic into it then on the count of three we drive the sword into the wyrm." Vex said.

 

'"Okay Vex that sounds like a plan." Piako said grabbing the hilt of Vex's sword and channeling earth magic through it while Vex channeled fire.

 

The resulting flames on the blade were turned rainbow because of the minerals added by Piako. '"One... Two... Three!" Vex shouted before the two of them plunged the sword deep into the dragon's back. It screeches in pain and dives down to force them off. Vex Grabbed Piako and Jumped off at the last second still holding the sword. '"You okay?" Vex asked.

 

'"Yeah I'm fine Vex." Piako said smiling before Vex tackled him out of the way of a crystal spike sending them both through the portal to Ardin just outside Vex's home city. '"Thanks."
