The mermaid moved swiftly to the side, dodging a volley of thermite and flaming bullets. The fire and destruction quite literally outside its element sizzled and hissed in the water violently, as its explosive rage quickly died down, and came to a halt. No matter the force, that stuff wouldn't be getting far underwater. Laguna turned back to the creature that didn't show any signs of stopping to lash out at her.

The ends of her feet were spread out like paddles, but nothing else indicated a transformation to assist survival in a space essentially devoid of oxygen. Her mane hissed and spit embers around itself, seemingly keeping itself lit only by spite and anger alone.

The wyfex readied her firearm. Her clawed finger firmly around the trigger, Arcus lifted the weapon. With a bitter scoff, she pointed its glowing barrel straight at Laguna.
