Story Summary

An odd collection of my characters medical and psychological quirks I'll be updating as I go. Mostly just a reference for myself as a quick notes. The formatting will be terrible and in an interview/notes format.

Nothing super gross but if you don't like or are squeamish around medical terms and explanations, I'd skip this.

Chapter 1: Ch. 1 A Sweet Oni

Specimen- "Momo"

Identification- Peach Oni

Location: Yanagawa, JP.

An interesting specimen. She's unlike other Oni found on the island of Japan. In apearence she's stark pink hue, just barely verging on white, and fine pink hair and Red ring markings across her body. Other oni on record all range in colorations and markings but none have fit this Specimen's description.

Reports from folks in her hometown state that the Specimen appeared down a river, encased in a large white peach. No known whereabouts on the origin of the peach or its creation has been reported. A lawndress picked up the peach with the intention of consumption but stopped on seeing an arm when she cut into the fruit. Specimen was unharmed, but startled and crying on being pulled out.

The laundress made no notes on malformations or odd behaviors for the first 4 years of life. On year 5 a discovery was made, the specimen can't discern colder temperatures. She reported during the winter the Oni's hands showed signs of frostnip but no signs of stress or acknowledgement from her, though skin and symptoms showed signs of damage. In years following specimen was told not to go outdoors during cold snaps without protection or visually checking her hands, feet, ears, nose, and other easily affected areas of the body. Heat does illicit a standard response. The specimen herself reports "after a certain temperature it all plateaus and feels the same. Kind of odd, no?"

Second Anomaly was discovered when specimen was 6. Another child bit the Oni during an argument, only stopping after spitting out her blood claiming that it was sweet and caught them off guard. Her blood has a sweet aroma and taste, appearing a little more pink than red. Perhaps a lack of iron? Chemical contents of blood is yet to be tested.

AHHH MOMO! This is so interesting to read! I didn't know she had a harder time feeling lower temperatures. That's so interesting! Hopefully the frost bite didn't leave too much lasting damage.
