Story Summary

An odd collection of my characters medical and psychological quirks I'll be updating as I go. Mostly just a reference for myself as a quick notes. The formatting will be terrible and in an interview/notes format.

Nothing super gross but if you don't like or are squeamish around medical terms and explanations, I'd skip this.

Chapter 4: Ch. 4 Tiny Cave Dweller

Specimen- Snot Rocket

Identification- Cave Goblin

Location- Cave(?), Details unknown.

How to say this.. this specimen is loud. Surprising by his large ears, you'd think he'd be sensitive to loud noises. The specimen explained (rather brokenly) that he, much like a bat, had some echo location abilities. Not often needed when in dimly lit places, but was very useful in total darkness. The goblin can see in the dark but not perfectly, hence the echo location to make up for it.

Another topic of interest was the tail. Land goblins with tails was a rare sight alone, but it seemed more common with his kind of cave goblin. The specimen noted "Helpses with balance from earthses tremors. It helps picks ups odd rumbles and peoplses walking." From this explanation, I garner the goblin has some form of biological Seismometer as well as an earth sense for movements. Fascinating.

Claws were another thing. This specimen had long but flattened nails on both his hands and feet. They're not like the aforementioned bats, but more similar to that of a mole. His feet only have three toes, hard to say if this is genetic or from injury. Besides the toes there were more odd workings in his feet, mainly that he could shift and walk on the balls of his feet appearing more like animal haunches. Specimen explained he could see a little more from the lift he got and run a little faster.

The last question was about his scars. All over the goblins body were small scares and old cuts which was concerning at first, but the specimen assured he was fine. He told the details of a few scars on his arms and legs. "That one's is from a tumble down a big hole, this one is from a rock hitsinis Snot during a big 'splosens, and these! These are what made Snot, Snot!" The last scars are two on his chest and one on his lower abdomen. Top surgery scars and Hysterectomy/Oophorectomy scaring. He seemed pleased and excited to share, and I am too for that matter. This specimen was a delight to talk to once you get to know him.
