Atticus has a tribute locket to his dearly departed wife, Fiona. It's a very well taken care of object and he makes a point to polish and clean it everyday. Inside of the locket is a small portrait of her when she was pregnant. The phrase "The heart of the sea." is inscribed along side it. It's a token of undying love and equal grief.
