Brief biography: Atticus was a regular man much like any other. His world consisted of taking care of his family and making sure there was food on the table for his daughter. Being a sailor was difficult, and even more-so when ships started to dissapear on the water in his shoreline town. He'd heard of many legends about how fishermen would fade into the fog, but never thought he'd be the header of the subject line.

On a chilly afternoon on the water, Atticus and his crew of sailors carefully navigated a well known bay full of rocks that could puncture a ship in a heartbeat. What should have been a routine day was suddenly shrouded in a thick, dense fog. His memory is fleeting at this point, but he very vividly recalls the wretched hand of a sea witch grasping at the side of his boat. Atticus awoke on a distant shore that was unfamiliar to him. Battered, bruised, and transformed into something unparallel to his inner self.

Personality: He had many responsibilities as a ship captain. Maintaining his work and his family are his two main goals if you ask about them. He mostly keeps to himself but he is very paitent, and has a soft spot for adventure when something new or exciting is introduced to him. He rather not discuss his life before a certain point and keeps a lot of his personal background unmentioned. It took many years to get to where he is now and he's nervous that by revealing too much, people may see him differently.

While he may look scary, Atticus is a massive sweetheart. He's gentle, kind, and empathetic to everyone he meets. He understands that he's not exactly the most approachable and respects the distance people give him, even if it makes him feel a little hurt. He finds a lot of value in the people who do stick around and hopes that he'll be able to get back to his daughter, Jasmine, soon.

The Illusion Of Murk

Atticus's transformation isn't entirely new or even unheard of magic. While it's strongly embedded inside of him, there are fleeting moments where he is able to reclaim his previous identity. When the veil of magic is thin, Atticus' human form may grace you. This can be through reflections in water, mirrors, glasses, fluttering rays of light, or even with your own two eyes for fleeting moments. With murky blue watercolor eyes and a face kissed with freckles, you'll be sure to second guess yourself and do a double take. Maybe it's a sign there's still a little hope to bring him back to his original self from his curse. His octopus apperance is a reflection of some deeper issues that he struggles with, and only confronting them will lessen it's impact on his visual form.
