Samuel Browns' Fantastical Discoveries!: I Defeat A Curious Slime

HELLO JOURNAL! I am pleased to say I ran into my first monster today, and I conquered it. You may be a bit confused-- how, a mere starter explorer like I, has defeated a big scary beast. But alas, it is not the fiery beast I had hoped to encounter, instead it is merely a slime. Let me start at the beginning, and really paint the picture for you!

So today, I hopped out of the tree I'd been sleeping in. It was nearly midday already, so I guess I slept a little too much, haha! (But as they say, the wicked get no sleep, so I must be very good!) But I made my way South, since I'd heard there was another village there. Figured they'd have some epic quest for me or something. But before I arrived at this village, I was travelling through a deep dark forest. 

I arrived at the pond... It was beautiful! Cattails, lilies, and whatever other plants lining it and decorating it... If it were nighttime there would probably be fireflies. Illuminating the pond... sigh... If only! However, that was before I heard the icky sloshing noises coming from a bush of cattails... It was quite disturbing.

But I figured it must've been a monster! Maybe a giant flesh-eating fish, of some sort? So I screamed at it!
"HEY! BIG GUY!" I yelled so hard my throat still hurts, "Get over here and fight me!"

Ok, maybe I was less intimidating than that. It worked though, so it must've felt threatened. It bounced right out of that bush and met me in the middle. It's little eyes, I still shudder thinking about it. But I was brave, however scary that thing might've looked. I slapped him right in the face! That must've triggered something too, because the next thing I knew, he had a giant air bubble in him. That's when I realized! I could create wind! I think. Something happened with the wind, but it doesn't matter, because I killed it! Then I ran all the way to the village (not because I was scared) to brag about it. 

Oh, and I didn't even mention the best part... 

HE DROPPED GOLD!!! So I have money now, to buy stuff!
