Biography:

Lt. Jethro Yamato is a hot headed, and abrasive young man whos experience with near death has scarred him not only physically, but psychologically. He lives in a universe of post interstellar space travel, and is part of the Unified Coalition Military. A pilot of a Goliath a large Mech with alien origins. Despite his enlistment Jethro has no love for the Coalition, but coming from the remnants of a shattered Japan with little prospects outside of military service he signed up with the intention of being in ground engagements. His talent with the Goliath's being recognized was more luck than active effort. He is currently on loan to Earth's nearest neighbor, the Independent Planet State of Mars, where he is involved in research into the Alien technology of the Goliaths and how it may help further research into artificial intelligence or in supporting the Guild Pilots that act as the primary means of free travel via Liminal Space.

Jethro is a proud man, who values experience over things, and is incredibly hard on equipment. He is suspicious of people in official positions, and their intentions.
Tends to use his physicality over his mind, often getting into fights over slights imagined or real. Makes friends slowly, but those who make a point to continually be in his circle will find his loyalty one of his best qualities. Self-Sacrificial if given a real cause. A rebel at heart, he dislikes authority, sometimes to the point of self-sabotage.

He has a pet Leachianus Gecko named Butch, he can sometimes be seen with her on his shoulder, safely harnessed and in a little coat. Jethro is kind to animals, has a special affection for those animals feared and hated.

He comes from mixed heritage, an African American mother, and a Japanese father, and is proud of both. Often sporting the Old Flags, which were made defunct when the Unified Earth came about.

He likes vintage things, or things that look old or old fashioned. Otherwise is fond of tank tops, and standard issued military cargo pants. Used to enjoy old gasoline cars, but the incident that almost killed him involved an accident with one and he's since suffered from nightmares and a pathologic avoidance of land vehicles, including trams. He is far too stubborn to admit it's a problem, and too proud to even mention his own suffering. On occassion has panic attacks in vessels of a certain size. Claustrophobia started to manifest after the accident.

Doesn't know how to cook, and likely never will having become adapted to military Synthesizers.
