Chapter 1: Call of the deep

7. I am Your Brother… The song’s really in your head… to the point where you’ve actually come to believe that you are Laguna’s brother! Draw or Write your character as a merfolk!

Rigmor was collecting potion ingredients, when a strange new portal opened nearby. Its sudden appearance reminded the witch doctor of Portal Posi, making them very suspicious about it. Rigmor knew, they needed to tell others about this discovery, but before they could do anything, an enchanted song reached their ears, enveloping the witch doctor and pulling them into the blue depths beyond the portal.

Brighid, who was helping Rigmor with the ingredient search, heard it too and immediately noticed what was going on. The song had no effect on her, but the raptor couldn't leave Rigmor alone in the grip of this inexplicable force, so she jumped right after them into the closing portal.

The underwater realm greeted the witch doctor with a cold embrace. In the normal circumstances the water would be their demise, soaking their clothes and dragging them into the depths to never return, but something was different this time. Someone was holding Rigmor's arm. Someone... familiar?

“I finally found you, Ronin.”

Unaware of the deluding effects of the mermaid's song, Rigmor was sure they've met Laguna before. The memories of the true past were blocked in their mind and the new ones took their place, changing Rigmor's appearance in the process. Their lower body now resembled a tail of an ancient marine reptile and the clothes they were wearing didn't feel soaked at all, no doubt another effect of Laguna's magic. But most important of all, Rigmor could now breathe underwater.
