Chapter 1: The Camping Trip (part 1)

Akantha, Honey and Sky had separated from the group to go hunt, normally Dahlia would’ve gone instead of Sky, but their camp had been attacked recently so it needed to be guarded. Storm wasn’t very happy with the idea of Sky going, but Akantha promised to keep him safe.

Akantha had gotten an uneasy feeling, almost as if they were being watched, then, something jumped at him, Akantha fell to the ground and held his arm, he noticed it was broken, he looked over to see if Sky and Honey were ok, the thankfully were, but that relief didn’t last long, as the monster started to run for Sky and Honey, Akantha decided to make sure he kept his promise to keep his friends safe, so he slit his wrist, causing blood to come pouring out, and with his blood he made a large axe, and he swiftly jumped to the monster and cut it’s head off.

He turned to look at the two to see if they were ok, when he saw they were he felt relieved, though, he felt faint, the axe he had made of his own blood started to go back to being liquid, Sky and Honey caught him before he fell and they carried him back to the camp where Storm was able to treat him. Frostbite had given Akantha some of his blood to help him regain strength, when Akantha woke up he left his tent, he saw Honey cutting up the meat, so he decided to help her by cutting the vegetables.

The next morning Dahlia and Akantha left to get some more ingredients for healing potions, however, when they were searching for the ingredients they encountered a cave, and in the cave they saw more of those monsters, Dahlia grabbed her spear to prepare for a fight, one noticed them and alerted the others, they swiftly attacked them, Dahlia was able to hold them off for a bit, but one of them grabbed Dahlia, Akantha immediately rushed to that monster, he jumped onto it’s head and clawed it’s eyes, it let go of Dahlia but then grabbed Akantha, however, Akantha then bit the monsters arm and drank some of it’s blood. Spikes made of blood then shot out the creature, and it fell to the ground, Akantha used the monsters blood to make an axe, he used the axe to cut off their heads, once he finished beheading them he was exhausted, however, he noticed something odd, the monstered had a skull branded onto their foreheads, Dahlia noticed it as well.

Once they got back to the camp, they showed the head to Frostbite, he immediately recognized it, it was the death skulls mark, Frostbite asked to see where they found it.

Akantha led Frostbite to the cave, it was a bit awkward with it being just the two of them because a few days before this trip they’d gotten into a fight, but he ignored the feeling. Once they reached the cave more of those monsters started to come out, Akantha found this weird, but he prepared for a fight, however, Frostbite immediately froze them, they continued to walk through the cave and he continued to freeze them.

Once they reached the end of the cave they saw a summoning circle, the monsters appeared to be crawling out of it, Akantha went to close it but Frostbite swiftly grabbed him and pulled him out of the way, they realized that the summoning circle was a trap, before they could get out the entrance collapsed, Frostbite appeared to be angry, one of those monsters crawled out of the circle, but, before it could do anything Frostbite froze it and the circle, he made a large spikey pillar of ice, it had a slight glow to it, which made it easier to see, Akantha noticed some markings on the cave walls, he then realized those markings are a curse to make it so they couldn’t teleport or make portals to escape, Akantha thought of an idea, but it was very risky.

He walked as close as he could to the collapsed entrance, Akantha slit his wrist and made the blood go through the gaps of the rocks to reach the outside, he made a small bat to fly to their camp to get help, Frostbite helped by giving Akantha some of his blood and freezing Akantha’s blood to make it so it could reach the camp.

It managed to reach the camp and they were able to get out.
