Crystal Caves Campaign Chapter: Kassin: Chapter 1: Kassin And Leslie Going Down The Rabbit Hole

Kassin Omaga miss the battle of the Crystal Wyrm but he has decided to join in the recovery project. Always the listener while working to help rebuild the town, Leslie seems a common name both in to blame and in praise, however he seems to gone missing of late. This seems to fuel those who believe he has a hand in awakening Crystal Wyrm who went on the rampage and destroyed a bit of the town. Well now, fear and anger should be directed into building their homes again so Kassin step away from building, leaving it to the angry folks to burn off their aggression while Kassin seek the truth of the matter. After all, Gossip is only as true as the one listening to it believe it to be. Kassin not one to leave it to just here say, he aims to find the truth of the matter and make his own judgment call then to believe all of what the rumor mill has to offer. 

Ask around and after a few hours, learn that not only one of the few places undamaged by the attack was Leslie forge, in which he was directed too. Heading to his forge, he confronted with Leslie forgemate and friends who block him, seem like they are willing to fight to protect their mentor and friend. Kassin just grin, after all, just loyalty either mean they are a cult, an organization or they are close like a family. No, Kassin sure, if Leslie is guilty, it would be out of pure accidents. Either way, Kassin sure Leslie is innocent as he looks at the crew of the Forge and offer to help Leslie and to get to the bottom of this mystery. 

It took a moment but the one in charge in absent of Leslie seem to accept Kassin offer for help, offering her name as Pao as the two walks through the forge workspace. While explaining the situation to Kassin, he admits to himself that Leslie won these folks heart not by being a doom day psychopath but by their love and admiration. This makes it clearer than before that Leslie was not a willing culprit in this entire event. Kind of remind him of his own family and the secrets they all share. He listens to Pao as she points to the path that Leslie took and thanks her as he follows the way. While things seem to be on the up and up for Leslie, Kassin determine to keep his concern up, adoration can be blind after all. 

Not long after, Kassin see a man who back was too him with a white sword over his back that seem a trademark of Leslie. Kassin walk up to about 15 feet away and look at Leslie who seem to be staring at the Deep Crystal in his hand. Fixing his cuff for the moment before speaking that his Name is Kassin Omaga, and he was here to help him. Of course, Kassin presence catch Leslie by surprise since Kassin business suit look horrible for spelunking. 
 
Kassin note a trace of concern this man had for his safety, not the behavior of a person who was so willing to damn hundred or at least just barely 1,000 of folk lives in the Wyrm rampage on purpose. His willingness to take on an adventurer despite being ready for a fight when he shows up suggests he expects something worst arriving. Leslie is no fool and such folk you should be weary of, and Leslie certainly keeps that in heart as he likely feels with some charm, he can tame an adventurer attack dog. Oooh but he does have a lovely smile, does he mix up grinned crystal into his toothpaste when brushing his teeth? 

Leslie was curious how season Kassin was to adventure. Kassin just smile as he ponders the short version alone will take a few lifetimes to cover. Though most folk would not have the patience for, so Kassin play it humble as he announces that he been on a few thus far with a high success rate. Leslie accepts the answer but seems concerned as he warns him this is his last time to cut out as he has no idea what is in store. Kassin grin as he announces what fun is an adventurer if there no surprises?
