The Adventure of THE ADVENTURE GUILD: Portal Pandemonium with Hotpop and Friends

Portal Pandemonium : Prompt 5: Freestyle

Seal float around the small group as they stand by a portal as Hotpop pose before Bodhi, until an confuse Tiol forgot what she was doing and try to wander off which Hotpop pull her back in. Marvo quickly distract Tiol with their juggling as Tiol look entertain a moment. Kate mostly leans against the wall, trying to figure out how she ends up getting dragged along in all this nonsense.  
 
After everyone settles down, Hotpop talks to SEAL her floating camera and announces they are hitting the beach for some fun in the Sun! A vacation for everyone to relax, and of course to Chill as Bodhi added. Turns out Bodhi found a great beach side place, including BBQs grilled sea food and even frozen treats! Marvo wasn’t too fond of the beach, but they did find SEAL adorable and kept trying to doll it up as a clown when Hotpop was not looking. Even managed to slip a sound modifier so instead of Beep and Boop, all the sounds SEAL makes now are honking. 
 
As the group gets ready to head in, Kate seems to sigh and follow, not finding out how this happened yet but, guess better than staring at the wall of her room. Bodhi picked his board up and the group plunged. And it was at that time, the portal pathways snap. Like splinter hairs the path split.  
 

Bodhi appears high into the sky, above a stormy sea, now it not good for a role model to lead by bad example and to surf during storm but no choice here! With almost spring-loaded reaction, he pulled out his board and balance to hit the wave just right when suddenly he heard a scream, that one girl! She is falling out from the same Portal!  

Bodhi turn the sails, and with a bit of his Sky power, strong man the storm winds to his favor. The board was sent over the wave as it jerks about wildly due to violently and sudden change in wind current as he reaches out and grab Tiol who so confused as he pulls her onto his board. Tiol Thank the Blue Stripe Weasel For his help, and While Bodhi would love to correct her, his sudden wind changes made thing worst for them.   

Meanwhile, Marvo flung through another Portal, a dark and dreary world...a black and grey world...Ugh...Marvo feels...uncomfortable. They walk over to a tree and start to color it with purple Marker. This place deserves color! Marvo continues to work, coloring the landscape as they fail to notice all the red eyes watching him from the shadows, inching closer to Marvo the Magnificent!  

Then it happens, something bit Marvo. They look down and see what appears to be a plushies looking bear/hound doll as it tries to gnaw on Marvo Leg, after staring at it a moment, Marvo decided.... They are Adopting the SHIT out of this cutie guy!! 

Guy teeth are very soft, not even going to leave a mark on Marvo leg, but Marvo figure it must be hungry, so they search in their bag and found a soft chewy granola bar but cover in glitter...well glitter never hurt anyone! Kneeling down Marvo offered the creature the glitter bar and it reluctantly took it and ate the whole thing. At first it seemed okay but then it seems to get slightly bloated as he makes a tiny gassy sound.  

Worrying that Marvo might have made it ill, they took the critter into its arms and gave it a hug, and that was when it happened. The creature body is design to separate it food from harmful substance from editable substance, in which it ejected through it back end, and the harmful substance was the glitter, so when Marvo hug the little guy tightly in concern, the hug squeezes out a massive scentless fart of glitter... 
 
At that time, Marvo decided for certain to take this guy home with them, and Name it Sparkles-Fart! Another little squeeze for a last bit of glitter fart and snuggle Sparkles-Fart before carrying it off for a way back home. 

Kate and Hotpop were fling along the ashen world, a city of sort. Kate hit a cart as it burst into a cloud of ashes. As if that did not annoy her enough the large ass Naga chick ram into the building nearby and went through the building, causing the building to collapse like a sandcastle. Kate just moves away from the scene and tries to clean up herself before looking around. 

Look like a city at one time, but...it all ashes, well cannot say that whatever happen, it caught the city in mid action, and everything turn to ashes. Look into alley to note small bodies in mid games, peek along the stall as bigger bodies in mid transaction. Kate inside telling her to escape but really to where? The portal closes after coming through... 
 
Suddenly the sound of cracking is heard, like glass being shattering and not by a little, so rushing to the source, she sees Hotpop sliding out of her ash prison as the entire pile of ashes was turned to black glass. Not the power she figures she had, guess she has something to back up her flashy personality. Kate Suppose she may not be too useless after all... 
 
Hotpop sigh as she nearly suffocated under all that pile of ashes, she notices the group split up from the portal, never even heard of that happening before. Kate over there, not saying much, she does seem to be indifferent to most non-human, afraid of touching people in a meaningful way but not truly understanding why.  

Hotpop smiled at Kate and expressed her happiness that she was okay, a voice of concern that Kate tries to pass off merely not wanting to be alone. Hotpop looks at SEAL as it floats around and scans, reporting in Clown honking noise that all the terrain are pure cremation, cake in harden layer of ashes...estimated time....3,000 years ago. Hotpop sigh, not sure how to feel about this, everything inside and outside is ash, so it whatever it was that did that can flow like air and effect living and non-living. 
 
Kate already figures there will be nothing around anymore that can help them, in fact they may end up trapped here. While several thoughts cross her mind, she tries to brush aside consuming Hotpop to survive...really, even if she is editable, once she gone, then what? Kate was just going to push all these thoughts aside and announce they get going when Hotpop beat her to the punch. 
 
Hotpop slip some tech reader into her wrist device, God, do they really have an entire computer like system that small enough to fit around her wrist? Well, whatever the case, Hotpop seemed to have a clue and was pointing them along. She follows the bright naga girl or wander lost... Kate sighs and starts to follow her. 

The sea was Violent as Tiol hold onto Bodhi as he moves the sails, it was hard to manipulate the sail when the storm fight you so he had to try to use his sky element only lightly so the mix of two force fighting against each other will not send then crashing. He calls out for Tiol to stay calm as He experience in this type of rescue and she in good hands, her respond was to squeeze him harder.  
 
Suddenly the sea under them glows brightly, too brightly. It is like being caught in a beam of light as strange Metalic tenacles rise around them. Was this some kind of sea beast? Where there is no time to question it as from the dept arise the massive tentacles surround V-tube tv head with a massive screen that bigger than a house. 

Bodhi notice flashes of other worlds showing on the screen, not that he fully understands this but anywhere better with his ward than here. He starts to use his Sky Element to try to push a massive wave and the wind to direct it right into its face, he braces himself and with a clash of lighting, Bodhi and Tiol went flying off the large wave and fly into the tv screen creature face. 
 
Marvo jumped, hearing thunder of a lighting clash...strange, this dark world has...okay, yeah...hard to tell if it cloudy or dark. As Marvo ponders if the sky is close enough to color it, Sparkles-Fart gets fussier being carried around. Marvo happily move the little guy to their face to nuzzle the guy, and in turn, Sparkles-Farts try to maul Marvo face off. Sadly, it has no claws so it comes off as savagely playful pawing which If Marvo eyes could, would sparkle in awe at the little savage cutie. 
 
Sparkles-Fart give Marvo his bests death glare, Marvo just imagine How cute he will look in a clown outfit! After a minute, Marvo won the intimidation contest as he curls into a ball in Marvo arm as they pet the little guy...Marvo going to color you up so brightly! 
 
Marvo paused a moment as a bright light shine from the woods, Oooh, lights! Marvo made sure the little guy was safe and went to investigate when suddenly realized the ground was wet, how odd, no rain right? Marvo looked up in time to see a giant TV screen looming over them as sea water washed over the bottom rim as Bodhi and Tiol came flying out of the screen... 

Hotpop seems fascinated by the scene, the image, the still pose. Whatever happened was faster than anyone could react too. Kate was following far behind, a bit bitter at the futility that so many lives were cut down with barely an issue. As if worth nothing, and yet, still a sting in her heart. What a wasteful bother, guess why she felt more inclined to travel with a vampiric kid, a naga, a sea otter and a robot, well two if you count that flying bot, SEAL was it? 

As she follows the Naga her ears pick up a slow hum, an energy of a sort down below. No... The hum was.... static. Static?! This world did not look to be in a state to power anything, so where... Kate looks at the ground to notice movement under the ashes, like tiny bugs. In a moment of frustration, Kate stomps her feet onto the ground to take care of the bugs, but it seems even the earth itself was ash as soon Kate was falling down an ashy sand trap. 
 
Seeing this not going in her favor, she focuses her Sky element, compacting the air above the draining ashes so she has a firm grip. Little by little, she starts to make foot holes and handle out of compacted air. She had to draw ashes up into the mixed air so she could see it clearly, so the handle looked like a small sand brick. She escapes the pit and runs over the air a good bit away before softly stepping onto the ground behind Hotpop. 
 
At that point she notices SEAL was watching the whole thing and was clown honking at Hotpop who frowns at SEAL as she reminds it that until she returns it voice box to normal, she cannot understand it...SEAL gave a sad clown honk. Well, no matter, at least those energy static bug thingies are gone. Anything that can survive this hell is no friend to anything living, so frack the local wildlife!  
 
As Kate seems lost in thought, she suddenly feels Hotpop grab her by the hand as Kate flinches and looks at Hotpop with a glare, but Hotpop just smiles and asks her if she ready for an adventure? Kate sneer, not finding any of this fun when suddenly Hotpop lift her tail and slam it on the ground, doing far harder than Kate stomp as the earth around them collapse. As they fall into the depth of the planet, Kate tries to avoid thinking that according to snake anatomy, Hotpop did more damage with her Lady part than her stomp.... The most legal attack thus far is her: P.S.A.! 
 
Though there was little light on the surface, Kate found it strange that there were far more lights in the planet. Hoard of monitor roaches like bugs gather, forming a massive screen as it hums in power. Kate has no idea what is happening, but it seems they are slipping to other worlds by mechanical bugs gathering just below them, not that she minds saying goodbye to this dreary place. 
 
Meanwhile, Bodhi flew over Marvo Head who hugged Sprinkles-Fart that ended up letting out a cute squeak. Still manipulating the Wind, He settled the board gently and tried to calm Tiol down, saying it was all right. Well, he did not need much to be convinced as Tiol just seemed confused about how she got here and to be honest, none of them has answers. Bodhi seemed to nod that indeed none of them seemed to know when suddenly Marvo was hit with inspiration! 
 
Well actually Marvo was headbutted by their new pet but still, Sparkles-Fart may know! If Marvo knows anything in their life, the deepest of wisdom lies in the cutest of squeaks. 
Bodhi is not sure, but he looks at Sparkles-Fart and asks what he knows, and on that day, Bodhi learns that even among ‘cute’ things, the ‘I will peel your face off and pee over it’ come in loud and clear. Marvo hugged the little guy happily, Sparkles-Fart at least tried to help. 
 
Bodhi begged to differ, but they had more important things to deal with at this time. Wait, where Tiol?! Bodhi forget about Marvo and start to search for the girl, though Marvo was quick to follow behind. It did not take long to notice a blanket of pure white snow on an otherwise dark world. Then they see it, a portal screen but this one seems...frozen in place by ice. 
 
Bodhi was quick to rush in to see if Tiol is okay, only to find...A strange purple women, curly brown hair with white fur outfit sitting on a throne of ice and snow. And on her lap sat Tiol, happily eating an Ice Cream cone. The women watch them enter and chuckle as she rests her cheek against her fist to the arm resting on the throne arm rest itself. 
 
Not sure how to take this, Bodhi error on side of caution and be polite as only an surfer Druid can but she interrupted him, brushing him off that she not royal or important, just an hermit in a mountain so no need to be all former and fancy with words...but she did point out, they all are not native and there seem to be an portal opening up. She continues that she is not sure in all her adventure, she has seen something like this, but with someone enters her domain looking lost...Well, She not heartless despite the jest of those with ice powers.  
 
She reaches between her chest and pulls out a device. She informs them that Tiol found this just before arriving, Like a simple TV remote huh? Bodhi felt this woman truly mean them no harm, she Gnarly in his book so he steps up and take the remote. Bodhi look to her as if question was bubbling behind his eyes but she brushes him off with a smile. She set Tiol down and looked at the party before speaking. 
 
“There is nothing more to say. You do not belong here. I find with that remote, the key to controlling these.... tentacles tv head. Your path is clear now, Hero, Villian, or mishap victims, does not matter. Your mind confuses with logic and thoughts, but your heart is set...Maybe, when I die, I will be reborn into your reality? If that happens...I hope we can be friends...Or at least, I guess I would settle not being a bratty kid. (She smiles) If I end up as any of your all kids, make sure to set me straight...That would be nice...To have loving family...Time is short...Leave.” 
 
Bodhi was conflicted, desire to help people but...is she beyond save from a tide of life she drowning in? But there was no time, he grabbed Tiol by the wrist and ran to the frozen giant TV contraption with Marvo with Sparkles-Fart. The cold was getting to him as he started to press buttons, trying to change the setting, and lord and behold the portal screen change! It works! 
 
As Bodhi searched the screen, Tiol lifted her hand and paused as she realized, the ice cream she finished off moment ago was gone, as she ponders where it had gone, she looks over and realized she has someone holding her arm...she gasps as she blushes! Did she get a boyfriend or is he her support-animal? Does she really need one? She starts to fidget, surely support-animal, the guy cute but...look a bit too animal...that would be too weird, right? She notices the clown robot. 

Tiol gasp as it hit her! She is in Oz! Yes, the Tin man the Clown, the guy holding her arm is the cowardly Lion or guess just animal in general...So wait, who the brainless scarecrow? Seem to be missing that. She stares off a bit until she realizes she is watching Marvo feeding a Black plushies shadow demon chewy bar cover in glitter...Is that healthy? 
 
Bodhi changed the channel when suddenly hot ashes came blasting out through the screen, followed by Hotpop and Kate. Kate, in an attempt to escape this mess, kick off of Hotpop and with a crack, steps on the remote that Bodhi drops from the ashes blast as the ashes stop coming. Instead, as everyone recover, they see a Lab where an Thath woman coil, finger gloves focus. Monitors and image flash around her as she mutters to herself, as many TV monitors with metal spine flex and stir under her control. 

She must be the one, so everyone rushes forward, to face this master mind, Bodhi in the lead as Hotpop pull Tiol with them as she was fussing over being covered in hot ashes, it feels like sand. Bodhi stand tall and with his band behind him, was about to announce that the Mad Women scheme was at an end...but Marvo beat him to the punch as Marvo throw Sparkles-Fart at her. 
 
Sparkles-Fart loud squeak was louder than the Thath Women shout of surprise as suddenly the impact left her gagging in a cloud of Glitter fart. Sparkles-Fart squeaked again as he hit the floor with another puff of glitter cloud then waddled back to Marvo who happily picked him back up, thinking Sparkles-Fart tried and Marvo is proud of him. Sparkles-Fart however only return to Marvo because it now makes it his life quest to kill this guy! 
 
Bodhi kind of at a loss for words so he just walks up to help the Thath women recover while Hotpop take note of the lab layout and the monitor with her camera and Kate making sure Tiol does not trip into a portal. The Thath women mention is Portal Posi, and yeah, the chaos was all her doing, pushing the boundary of how the portal can be used, how to...and then she just stops talking and start to mutter to herself, kind of hard to talk seriously when her face all glittering from a glitter fart bomb thrown at her... 

After a moment, she sighs and look at them, telling them that the event in motion, it cannot be stop just yet and she need to keep an eye on it or a few stray Portal is the LEAST of everyone trouble, so how about she just opens a portal to a beach resort or such? You know, relax, get your wits together, and she can collect her dignity and we can all fight another day? Kate was not overly fond of leaving a problem you can solve today for tomorrow but, she was getting sore with all that happened. 
 
Posi waves her hands glove as it flashes and a new portal appears, a beach resort, it a small place, and it look like it serious for its client care, Bodhi approve, though he still like his place better. Well not much can be said, after all that had been done today, everyone deserved a break, and they started off wanting to head to a beach too. 
 
after debating, they took Posi offer, sure she may be causing havoc but they are not in the position to stop her without fear of making things worst, they would need those who more able to handle these things, so until then, they relax and when they get back, see if anyone else has this experience with portal. 

Sometimes later: Hotpop is nude sunbathing a bit away from Tiol and Kate who are relaxing under a massive umbrella to keep the sun off them, the sun a bit bright for them but the warmth is nice. Marvo claims with writing pad they are going grocery shopping...then return with a shopping back filled with jar of glitter. Bodhi happily tamed the waves, which at times get really sick. Not sure how this world tide works but this sea can be calm a moment then snaps into a big wave that can eat up most of the beach. 
 
SEAL fly around, recording them having fun or just enjoying themselves. Marvo is busy writing jar of glitter with a lot of red and black as (SPICY) and green and white as (MINTY). SEAL flew over the waves to record Bodhi who called out to the Bot... But instead of Calling it SEAL he call It Dude...avoid looking over Hotpop as she is sunbathing, this is PG-13 Video or if Rated R, then at least no NUDITY! 
 
In the end, it was a fun little vacation but...now it time to face reality, things are going down and they need to enlist more folks to help stop Portal Posi as soon as they can...And SEAL will try to capture and record it all for History.
