Brief biography

Mistral grew up in a nomadic tribe of maned drakes like him, in a semi arctic environment. The rare wildlife there is usually large to withstand the cold climate and the dangers that come with it. Nevertheless the maned drakes hunt for a living and know how to fend off large predators if need be. Their usual tools of trade are their bows, thick and hard, almost impossible to draw for any human sized individuals.
Their tradition of adulthood dictates that young adults receive a bow from their father and leave the tribe for good, wandering alone through the wilds until they find another tribe to join. With this hard test, they ultimately prove their survival skills and willpower.
Mistral wandered on his own for weeks, before he somehow entered a portal and ended up completely lost in a foreign world. He was found as a "stranded" individual, originating from an unmapped realm. Mistral is the first of his species and culture to be known yet. And pretty much everything in the paperverse seems to be new to him - languages, devices, cultures, species, magic, etiquette.

Such stranded individuals are searched and get caught by a specific facility, where they are then contained, observed, studied and so on. If the individuals turn out to be non-hostile, they get teached and at some point taken to the guild.

Misrtal turned out to be used to a very primitive lifestyle, and gives a quite intimidating impression on first glance, but is very cooperative, social and gentle.
