What some call life can feel like a cruel joke to others.

 

After fleeing his home city to get away from prejudice and bad memories, Kyy found himself stuck inside something sinister, yet whimsical. He seems to live in his own world - an upside-down forest crawling with corvids, snakes, and hellish hounds. The whole scene is like straight from the pages of a book filled with ancient folklore.

 

The young man never knew his father, nor does he want to. He blames himself for his mother's grim fate, and so did everyone else - it was why he had to get out. It had already nearly cost his life once, if not multiple times. There was no more room for error and missteps.

 

It was a close call that Kyy didn't end up minced himself when he left. Despite accepting his fate in the hands of an Entity-maddened wyfex, a certain shifter stumbled upon the bloodbath, and had no intentions to just stand back and watch.

 

Kyy had lost most of his will to live after everything he had seen, lost, and experienced. It is why he despises Caspian so much - the neon moron never should've intervened.

 

Within the Paperverse, Kyy doesn't feel like he belongs. Even though that feeling isn't anything new, here, it's a little different. He's not pushed away or shunned - he does that himself, and turns people away with unbreakable silence. He has no home here, and people can't be trusted, anyway. They ask too many questions. Get too close and hang on like a thistle. He prefers the company of animals, as they do not judge, or threaten you with a knife.

 

The grey man never goes anywhere without his hounds - Palo, Kajo, Puro, and Elo. Whether the huge, skull-headed mutts appear physical or completely hidden, Kyy can always trust their support and company. They can be summoned using their collars in an instant, and commanded to hide away the same. The black dogs might not be everyone's favorite, but Kyy cares very little what others think of him or his companions.

 

At least he likes dogs - people, not so much.
