He considers himself a trader or merchant, but others feel that pirate or scoundrel is a more appropriate label.
Sometimes called the Gold King, Zath is famous, or infamous, for his dealings with a labyrinth of people. From rich land owners to thieving pirates Zath tends to pick “reasonable trades” with them. Using the temptations of riches to trade out for information or other resources Zath shows to be skilled in his many dealings.

Rumors say he has an entire lair filled with a thousand treasures buried in heaps of gold coins, he is rich beyond belief and uses these treasures for his trade. Others say he is a gryph who was blessed with a rare ability to breath liquid gold and turn the heavens into pure silver. The myths go on but the truth of his source is still unknown.

A massive stryx with a high intelligence, Zath creates an imitating aura, but along with his colossal size he is a coward within. Although he'll battle a fleet of smaller styx or a few ships, he greatly fears the harpia breed and will do anything to steer clear of the flesh-ripping birds. 

The name Zath originates from a demon who can summon gold and other minerals for those who are naive enough to wish it.
