The rustling of papers could be heard...

"Oh, here's a good one! Kal, who are you most thankful to have met?"

 

Kal took his time pondering over the answer, humming and hawing over the question. He ended up resting his paw on his chin and leaning back in his chair as he began to speak.

 

"Well, as much as I hate the guy... King has been a decent friend to me. He's introduced me to a whole new world of things to do. A world of 'kindness'. Eugh" He slightly recoiled at the word, before bursting out into a fit of laughter. "I joke, I'm not heartless or somethin'. I was never given the chance to help people. You know, I'm told a lot I'm a terrible, rude cat. I take that quite seriously, of course I have to keep that title upheld! There was something nice, though, when I held that soft plush Natu in my paws. The one I made for that kid, I dunno. Seeing that Ralts all happy over it, made me smile, and not in the way when I'm mocking someone."

 

"You only took that mission because of King, yes?" The interviewer questioned, their form cloaked in shadows.

Kal rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah, I was getting there. That's why I'm thankful. He always gets me on the right track. I don't know why he's stuck with me, he's got his own stuff to sort out. He stuck around, and I'm grateful for that."
