The Talsman: Pocket Watch

Grim has collected many things but the only one that feels the most valubal to him is a Pocket watch something that feels special to him as he holds it he feels more alive creative even he has it everywhere he goes and keeps it with him, when he feels stressed he holds it tight rubing his fingers along the gold engravings of spirals and gears, as he flips it open he looks at the smooth glass that covers the mecanical parts of the watch as he stares at the seconds hand ticking around the white background and the sleek numbers cerved to a point he grabs a cloth and polishes the glass as he does it seems to glimmer in the sunlight, he shuts the pocket watch and polishes the outside of it on the golden back and silver boltsand wiping down the chain then lifting the watch up into the light to let it shine in the light, he turns it around to stare at the engravings on the back as he moves his hands it looks as if the gears and spirals spin in the light, he looks for any scratches that may have ruined the look of the engravings but as always it looks like the watch is brand new as if any markings where repaired he turns it around to look on the front but just like the back scraches or dents he hlips it open to look at the glass where the only scratch is directly in the middle above the hands he stares at the scratch trying to remember where it came from, he thinks back to when he found it he picked it up out of the dirt and polished it off with the rag in his pocket feeling the cool metal that was covered in dirt he held it tight and opened it up to see the smooth glass and rubbed his finger on it with to much force and accidentaly scratched it he tried to polish it off but it was no use so he kept the golden pocket watch, after thinking back he shut the watch and held it in the palm of his hand and rolled his fingers over top it turning it over slowly a few times and then stopping it face up he looks at it one more time and then opens it up he runs his fingers of the scratch on the glass and polishes it knowing that even though it might not look perfect to others but for him the watch is special from the polishing hes done to the scratch on the glass that he caused he knows it can be fixed but would it be the same no it woulden't not to him at least the scratch was caused by him and it feels a partof the watch and he loves it the way it is he then shuts the watch and puts in his pocket before he leaves and is ready to go as he walks out of his door and ready to start his adventure.
