Chapter 1: K.R.O.M Harnesses the Water Element: Full Steam Ahead (Prompt: How does your character's elemental power manifest? Draw or write them using their elemental powers.)

How does your character's elemental power manifest? Draw or write them using their elemental powers.

K.R.O.M 13 sat against a rock, writing in his journal - day 377 - when he saw a small, green blob approach. Naturally, K.R.O.M was curious, so he approached the thing. After the encounter with the bird, he kept his journal in hand, but he did allow it to dangle fairly close to the ground as he crouched beside the strange living gelatin.

This was a mistake.

The slime crawled along the ground and began to devour the journal. K.R.O.M 13 kept a close eye on the thing, so he swiftly noticed the corner of the book dissolving within the slime. He quickly yanked the book away and kicked at the slime, but that move had little effect. A rush of protectiveness over the info flowed into him. This goo, he felt, could not remain here.

He began to focus. Using his latent water element within him, the water within his steam engine became more active, boiling faster. It flowed much more swiftly and pushed against the piston, shoving it back and pulling it back in rapidly, and sending the flywheel spinning at a borderline unsafe rpm.

He felt the rush of power the increased locomotion provided him. High-pressure steam rapidly ejected from his exhaust valves, sending shoots of steam out of the eye-like verticle slits upon his head and making a sound akin to a steam whistle. He stowed the journal, then ran full speed towards the slime, quite the terrifying sight to have such a metal behemoth thundering towards it.

As he approached the slime, he raised both fists high above his head, then, using the full speed of the engine, slammed them both down upon the slime in a move that he hoped would, at the very least, get the slime to leave. Slime splattered up at K.R.O.M 13's face, but in this non-adrenaline rush he didn't care about the small scorch marks it made upon his brass hull, only caring about the defense of knowledge.
