First Battle: A Slimy Surprise

The forest was alive with the sound of chirping insects and animal calls, and the occasional leaves rustling, even in the middle of the night. Dakota was walking through the forest to get to the nearest village. She felt like she should've been scared, but she wasn't. And she was kinda glad for that. She was instantly snapped out of her thoughts by a weird slurping noise. "What was that?" she muttered. She looked around to figure out where the sound came from, only to find a green blob in front of her.

"What the... What is that?" Dakota stared at the creature curiously. It looked like something she's seen in a video game before. Her curiosity got the better of her and she approached the blob... slowly...

only to get met with a huge splash of weird greenish-blue liquid. Out of retaliation, Dakota kicked the slime off the path and ran for it. Once the slime was out of her sight, she looked down at her clothes. She was absolutely covered in slime, to her disgust. "Darn, I really need to be more careful..." she said to herself as she got up.
