Groff's Christmas Misadventure!: no loss!

Luckily, the horse actually did lead Groff to his home dimension!

Groff tossed the package and jumped off onto it, before turning to talk to the horse. “Thanks for the help!” He smiled as the horse ran off, causing trouble among the city.

Now, what next? To wait for Chip, of course!

Hmm… what should I do? I know! Decorate!

Chip was off doing stuff on the other side of the city, so he’d have plenty of time!

After leaving a note saying ‘FOR CHIP: DO NOT OPEN’, Groff ran off to the Inn to ask Martus where to buy decorations.

“I don’t think you can lift a Christmas Tree, Groff.” Martus said, hand moving to pet Groff, before stopping himself.

“?”

“I mean, you’re just a tiny cat-”

“No, not about that. Why’d you jerk your hand back? Are you scared of me?”

A silence. Martus spoke. “Do people… pet you often?”

“Of course they do? Are you scared of petting me? I know some cats don’t like being pet, but me and the rest of my clowder don’t really mind…”

Martus moved to scratch Groff’s chin. “Another question for you…”

“Yeah?”

“What’s a clowder?”

After giving a lengthy explanation of cat culture to Martus, Groff went to the store and found some mini Christmas trees.

“These will do nicely!” 

Groff then placed them in the I II II L formation and chuckled to himself.
