The present: Special delivery?

It is winter. Kids are playing in the snow, building snowmen, making snow angels, and snowball fighting. The birds are singing, a rabbit runs in the snow, and weasels stock up their food. It seems to be a lovely day in the world of Paperdemon. However, somewhere in the world, a hooded person drops off an envelope to a small house. The hooded person then proceeds to knock on the door, just before they depart elsewhere. Afterwards, someone opened the door from the inside.

That someone was the otherworldly creature named Alphabett.

Upon opening, he notices the envelope in front of him. “What is this?” He says to himself, “Did Quiver send this to me?” He opens the envelope, and reads its contents:

To the lucky person who received this message

I have prepared something special for you.~

If you come to my place, located in Lakeside Village, you should be able to pick it up!

I hope to see you there!

After reading the message, Alphabett begins to act skeptical. “No. Quiver didn’t write this, did she?” questioned Alphabett, “I must find out who that... “G” guy is.” Alphabett heads back inside, and makes preparations before setting off to Lakeside Village.

Alphabett arrives to Lakeside Village. The village is bustling with the villagefolk dancing about and kids playing tag. He begins to find clues around the village, then comes across a young girl. The two begin to chat.

“Hello, miss.” says Alphabett, “Do you know the person who calls themself G?”

“Oh, G?” the girl responds, “I’ve known about him.”

“Really?” asked Alphabett, “Because I received a message from him saying he has “something special” that I need to pick up.”

“You have a gift from him?” Answered the girl.

“Yes. Where do I go see G?”

“He’s at his mansion straight ahead.”

The girls points towards a path leading to a large building.

“Thank you!” says Alphabett. “Anytime!” says the girl. In a hurry, Alphabett runs towards the ominous building.

“So... this must be G’s mansion...” Alphabett says to himself, “He should be waiting for me here, but... something feels really off...”

Alphabett proceeds to ring the doorbell in hopes to see G, but there was no response. Alphabett then decides to knock on the door to his mansion, but upon doing so, the door opens by itself. Confused, he goes inside the mansion, only to see a strange present on the ground.

“Is this the one special thing G was talking about...?” questioned Alphabett. “I wonder what’s inside...”

As he was about to open the present, the hooded person jumps out of the present. Alphabett proceeds to gasp in awe.

“Haha! My name is G, and welcome to my lovely place!” says G, “Have you received my message about your gift?”

“Uh... yeah...” responded Alphabett, “You said you prepared “something special” to me. I thought that present was the one-”

“Nope!” G interrupts, “That was my disguise! Here, take this!”

He hands out another suspicious-looking present to Alphabett, “Open it and see what’s inside! Don’t be shy!”

Skeptical, Alphabett opens up the present, only to reveal a giant beast made out of snow inside.

“G... What is the meaning of this?!” he shouted.

“Hahaha...” cackled G, “Looks like you have fallen right into my trap. You will never leave this place again.”

“G... You...” Using his letter-based magic, Alphabett summons a fire sword and prepares for combat. However, before he begins to make his first move, he was knocked back by the beast. Wounded, Alphabett was struggling to get up.

“Hahaha!!! How does that feel getting slapped in the face by my lovely snow beast?!” shouted G, “You should be going to hell any minute now, kid.”

“I... I...” uttered Alphabett, “I... won’t...”

Suddenly, Alphabett’s sword begins to burst in flames, “I WON’T LOSE TO THE LIKES OF YOU!” he shouted.

Alphabett then begins to summon flames with his magic, and attack the snow beast. The snow beast begins to weaken.

“WHAT?!” shouted G, “How... HOW ARE YOU THIS STRONG?!”

“Because... I’ve spent years trying to master my skills.” responded Alphabett, “And that gave me courage to keep on going.”

After landing multiple blows and strikes, the snow beast’s core was exposed. Upon noticing it, Alphabett lands the final blow onto the core, killing the snow beast for good.

“NOOOOOO!!! NOT MY LOVELY CREATION!!!!” cried G, “How dare you destroy it?! I’ll get my revenge next time!!!”

“You just tricked me.” says Alphabett, “That wasn’t a gift. Farewell.”

Alphabett then turns his back and leaves G’s mansion. “Damn you.....” uttered G.

After heading back outside, Alphabett sees snow gently falling into the ground. As he proceeds to head back home, he notices the same girl from earlier.

“Hi, Alphabett!” says the girl, “I witnessed what was going on inside G’s mansion. What happened?”

“G tricked me and summoned a snow beast.” replied Alphabett, “Had I not killed it, it would’ve destroyed your village.”

“Oh... I see” the girl hands out another present, this time it’s small. “Please take this as a thank you. Happy holidays, Alphabett.”

The girl then runs off. “Oh. Happy holidays to you too.” says Alphabett.

Hours later, he arrives home, and decides to open up the present the girl gave to him. Inside, it was a piece of quartz. “What a lovely crystal...” he says. Alphabett proceeds to put the quartz on display, and heads to sleep.
