What love feels like: Cricket

Cricket has never really felt love like a 'normal' person. He's always had trouble recognizing feelings and what they were in the first place. At first Cricket thought that he loved this girl in middle school. Everytime he was with her Cricket felt, warm. Like a weird warmth was stuck in his limbs and it couldn't get out unless he exploded. So she asked her out. But when they kissed the warm feeling went down and got drowned out by dread. So, Cricket stopped. Said that maybe they shouldn't be together, and never tried kissing again.

 

Later little Cricket asked his dad what falling in love with her mom felt like and he just looked at her and said that it felt like love. That he wouldn't be surprised if Cricket didn't know what that was as she didn't know what volume control was. 

 

Cricket never really asked his dad about love ever again. 

 

Cricket has felt the warm exploding feeling a few times, always directed at a girl but he's never really acted on it. Then Zee asked if they could be platonic girlfriends (or partners she later said, if that term felt better to him than girlfriend) and that warm exploding feeling turned into an actual explosion feeling.

 

He said yes. And he feels like she refound love.
