Reunion at the Crossroads: Catharsis

Syr tries to explain, "We've gone to sleep hungry more often than not. We never settle down. We're harrassed by bandits. We-"

"I don't care, Syr!" Nyamui interjects. "All those things are fine, as long as I'm doing it with you!" Nyamui tears up the letter. "You're stuck with me whether you like it or not, buddy." Nyamui helps Syr get up. They shake hands, "Your loss." Says Syr. After a moment, Tash politely interjects.

"So we aren't fighting anymore?"

"I'm sorry." Says Syr, "I was in a blind rage, I thought you had killed my uncle." Tash and Natalie look to the corpse on the ground. 

"I guess this was the guy we where looking for." Natalie says. "What kind of guy was he anyways?"

"He was rather closed-off. Never appeared in public much, and while he made every effort to be kind to me, he always made sure I kept my distance. The only time he seemed to talk without reservation was on the day of the festival. He'd open up this greenhouse to the public." Syr explained.

"Huh. Sounds like a cool dude." Natalie says, suprised.

"That he was-" Nyamui fall onto Syr, fast asleep.

"Is she okay?" Tash asks.

"Yeah she does this all the time. A byproduct of her past. Don't get her wrong, the other 364 days of the year she's a lazy sack of rocks, like she is now."

"Uh-huh." Syr transfers Nyamui onto her back.

"I guess We'll be off then." She walks towards the duo and hands them a sack of coins. "I really am sorry for the trouble. I know this isn't enough but it's all I have. Tasha nd Natalie watch Syr and Nyamui walk back through the wilted garden. Natalie and Tash look at each other.

"We should do it." Tash says.

"We where just trying to kill each other five minutes ago!"

"Hey we do need a magic user, and it looks like the other one has that social savy."

"Ehh..."

"...and it looks like they're also looking to find a direction in life."

"Whatever. Group therapy I guess." Tash rushes up to Syr and Nyamui.

"Hey, uh, do you two want to join our party?"
