Welcome To My Life: House Husband - Prompt 90

Nebula leans in to give Veronica another kiss on the lips before she walks out the door. She giggles as she gives him a soft pat on the cheek. 

“How am I supposed to leave when you keep giving me goodbye kisses?” She teases.

“But I miss you so much when you’re at work..” Nebula pouts as he kisses her lips for the sixth time that morning.
Veronica laughs as she cups one of Nebula’s cheeks and kisses the other. “ I swear you’re really a puppy.” She manages to pull herself away from Nebula, closing the door partially to keep her husband from trying to pull her back into his arms. “Have a good day, love.”

“You too, my little bat.”  Nebula smiles.

Veronica blows Nebula one last kiss before closing the door and leaving for work. Nebula let out a happy sigh as he stared at the door for a moment before turning to walk toward the broom closet.

I love her.

He twists the door handle and pulls it open. The broom closet was small so all the cleaning supplies were jumbled together which made it a bit harder to pull out the broom and dustpan. He manages to shut the door before the mop comes tumbling out with the ceiling duster and turns to start sweeping. As he goes around the house, Nebula hums a little tune and after a bit he ends in the kitchen and empties the dustpan into the trash.

Laundry should be done which means I get to finish watching my anime. 

He thought to himself as he shoved the broom and dustpan back into the closet. The laundry basket was in the bedroom so Nebula trots down the short hallway to the bedroom. Family photographs lined the hallway, all centering around the largest photo - their wedding day. Nebula loves to look at the photograph any time he passes by since it gives him the same joy that he felt in the moment.

Nebula goes into the master bedroom and grabs the laundry basket from off the bed then turns on his heels to go into the laundry room. He sets the basket on the ground and pulls the warm laundry from the dryer. Afterwards he throws the wet clothes from the washer into the dryer, puts in the wool balls, and sets it to go. Picking up the clean clothes. Nebula goes out to the living room and sits down on the couch. He grabs the remotes and turns on the TV to the last anime that he was watching. 

It only took half the episode to fold all the clothes, but Nebula finishes the rest just for a little break before he puts the clothes away. He closes the closet once he finishes and goes to the kitchen to pull out the cleaning supplies from under the sink. After he puts on his rubber gloves he gets to work deep cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, only taking a break for lunch. Nebula finishes just after 3 and lets out a content sigh as he starts putting the cleaning supplies back. 

Chicken sounds good for dinner.

Nebula grabs a baggie with two frozen chickens from the freeze and sets it in the sink to thaw out. With all of his chores for the day finished, Nebula decides to curl up on the couch and finish watching his anime until his sweet baby bat comes home.
