Grimoire's Talisman Challenge: Talisman Description

      Grimoire’s talisman is a magical, 41cm×33cm Komebukuro bag. It looks basically like a small burlap bag but made from a very soft, cotton dyed a deep black. The appearance can sometimes change to have various patterns on it but most of the time it stays a constant black. Despite it’s small size, his bag has been enchanted with the ability to hold a nearly infinite amount of items and there are times where he can’t find an item from within the bag and has to physically enter the bag in order to find it. The bag also seems to appear from thin air whenever Grimoire grabs it and then disappears again when he puts it away but with a strange twist. As long as one has their eyes on the bag, it won’t disappear for them so if a group look at the bag as he puts it away, the first person to look away will no longer see the bag even when the others can still see it. Eventually, everyone has to blink and once they do, the bag will be gone for everyone. The bag is always there but only Grimoire can see it until he grabs it to get something out of it.

      Grimoire was given the bag from his first mentor and the moment he grabbed it, the bag changed colour to the black that it is now to confirm the new ownership. He has never tried to get rid of the bag but his mentor told him that the bag would always find it’s way back to him until ownership was passed on to another. If for whatever reason he lost the bag, all he would have to do is call for it and it’d be back on his side. The main reason he hasn’t tried getting rid of it, besides it being impossible for him to, is the fact that it was a gift from his mentor. Normally he doesn’t take gifts or if he does, he finds someone else who needs it more to donate it to as he doesn’t like carrying a lot of things that he doesn’t need despite the fact that no matter how much he puts into the bag, it never gains weight; making it very easy for him to end up carrying far more than he realizes.

      There has been a couple of instances where Grimoire has had to put someone inside his bag to keep them safe. The few that have been ‘lucky’ enough to be put into his bag have described it very differently indicating that the inside of the bag is different for everyone but the one thing that has been consistent, is the fact that everything was weirdly organized despite there being no one to organize things as Grimoire throws things in the bag like anyone else would. They’ve also all reported the inside of the bag smelling like lavender which is Grimoire’s favourite type of flower. If Grimoire enters the bag, the bag will not disappear and will stay on the ground wherever it happens to fall. This has lead to several times where someone grabs his bag and tries to steal it but realizing that they can’t open it since only those that Grimoire gives permission to, can open the bag at will. It also lead to them being very surprised when he walked out of the bag to find someone had tried to steal his belongings. Normally he lets these people go but not without a small curse that at some point in their life, someone steals something of theirs; regardless of if they have a lot or very little.
