I haven't been reading as much as I really should, lately, but a long time favorite of mine is the wings of fire series. The writing ain't anything special but I do quite enjoy the worldbuilding around it! 

I've heard things about The Last Unicorn that were good from a few different places myself... I'll add it to the mental list for if I get back into reading again... Wonder if there's an audiobook for it, and if it's any good. (The warrior cat audiobooks... were very much not my cup of tea, so i'm a bit more hesitant to try audiobooks these days)
