Okay, everyone, this may sound really stupid, but I have to ask... in terms of Anime, would it still be considered Anime if it was made in the U.S.? I really have no idea. I mean, if I were going to write my own manga and followed all of the protocol for it, would it still be considered a true manga, even though I live in the U.S.? Okay, I was just wondering.

I would say anything done in the "style" of anime is anime. But who cares. Do your art the way you want to do it. In fact it's better if you do something that is your own style than just solely anime. There are actually a few american cartoons that have some anime style influence in them. I don't think people will care that you aren't Japanese. Your audience just wants to be entertained. :)

Yup, what Bogus said is true.

When people ask I tell them my work is manga/anime inspired. That usually gets the point across. :)

I don't think that was American made but I could be wrong. I read up on it last semester but I don't remember what I read
