Backstory
Elia was once a soldier in a militaristic society who didn’t think much about being subsumed into the military life of her high-ranking family. On one of her first campaigns, she threw that all away to save a prisoner of war.

The prisoner was being kept in extremely inhumane conditions. Elia said this isn't right and did something about it. 

Now Elia is a deserter, but she knows she deserted for a good reason.  

Personality
Elia is a cheerful, friendly and outgoing woman, always down for an adventure or to go out and have drinks. She’s compassionate, but she thinks too much to make a good solider, and she is a little too implusive for her own good. She wants to help people, and learn all there is to know about everything. However, the learning she’s best at tends to be a hands-on style. For example, she picks up woodcarving easily, but finds thick books too boring to read all the way through.
