Brief biography: 

Cyril spent most of his childhood days idling in his father's workshop, while other youths of the town of Mills spent their summers out of school playing in the wide-open fields. Cyril had the fascination to see what made everything tick. Often, the young boy had taken his father's broken fob watch and cracked the whole thing open, with tiny gears and small springs rolling off the countertop, only for his father to find him the next day half-asleep with his arms under his head and the very same fob watch. He remembered it had a cracked lens and its hands stuck just shy of half-past six in the evening, now chiming a ticking tune of a quarter to 4 in the morning.

Cyril's father was the aide to the town's mayor, meaning long hours in an office with little time to spend with his only son. His mother passed away from failing health when he was five, which didn't help with the loneliness that settled during that time.

That was until his 18th birthday when Cyril sat across the dining table with his father, who gave him a present: a letter and a toolbox. The letter was a recommendation for an apprenticeship, and the toolbox was quite expensive. Cyril would never forget that day when he left his home, hugged his father tight, and set out to seek his own fortune.
