Brief biography: Anise lives in the woods with Bertie, although she often visits the near by town to socialize and sell the eggs from her chickens.  She is much friendlier than Bertie, and makes friends a lot easier.  She loves animals, and would do anything to protect her chickens.  She has fire magic, which she uses to fight monsters, but also to heat their home, cook, and occasionally for light. 

Anise is a transwoman, and Bertie is the first other transgender person she had met, or had even heard of, which is partly how they became such close friends.
