Locked between two opposites, Kate was the first one to adopt Primeval Hybridism within the ranks of her own kind, even if forcibly so. An oversized spider might've taken the essence of her being, but at least she still knew who she was - what she had been.

Some others weren't so lucky.

Kate has had both of these forms since 2010 - the state in between is only a couple of years old at this point. Still, neither of these two ever had a more locked down design or art of them for a long time. I played around with the true form itself a little, but never really got anywhere with it, mainly because I didn't know how it actually looked like. The visions I have are so vivid and intricate, but at the same time so blurry that they look worse than anything a meter away from me when I take my glasses off.

Needless to say, I'm extremely excited to a) finally have drawn Kate's human form myself with an outcome I'm pleased with, and b) to at last have an actual design for her True form. It might just be a portrait, but it opens so many doors I just kinda want to lie down and weep.

Not that she can canonly use either of these anymore, though - godlike things are cruel.
