The news spread all over about a rampaging Drifter in another world. Paliskobengar - the assigned escort for Lara Kai's original mission, tried to tame her, but will refuse any retreat until she is successfully calmed.

Haku got the word that his wife was doing questionable chaos to reasons unknown, even to the people solving this case. But he needed a place to signal her to come for a little "wrecking". From the reports, they speak of a laboratory that was so deep that it had so much deadly stuff there. Some say it had so many portals that one could go in and out without warning.

He began to head to the location that was best fitting to start a wildfire to attract Lara Kai from the city dimension - Posi's laboratory.

He managed to be at its entrance by following the sewage lines in Kahari, until he emerged embarrassingly... from the laboratory's bathroom. But no one was around, which is perfect for Haku to at least make himself tidy before causing a mark of destruction in Posi's laboratory.

Haku searched through every stolen portal that Posi had, trying to find the one his wife was in. But to no success, he couldn't find her in any world, not even in the City of Eir itself. He was going to take his leave, until he heard the sound of scraping metal, a rattle perhaps. The moment he looked behind, he saw a strange machinery that towers over him.

It was a serpentine metal pipe resembling an artificial spinal cord, but its head was a portal to another world. He encountered four, each larger than the last. Haku was no match for the fourth, but he remembered his intention with the place. He's not here to fight them directly.

He's here to burn everything down.

Using his Fire magic, he concentrates them to his left hand, forming a finger gun gesture. He was going to aim it like a bullet to the smaller machine entity. But because he has not gotten used to his newfound power, it became unstable and its properties had become unpredictable, even to Haku himself. After one shot, the bullet hits it by its central point. The machinery looked unaffected, but it began to malfunction.

Then a chain reaction occurred to the three bigger entities, all of them about to self-destruct due to the unstable Fire magic Haku shot at the smaller one. They collapsed on one of the portals, the electric shock now malfunctioning all of them at once.

Then, Haku walked away from them to avoid getting affected by the blast.

As they all exploded at the same time, Posi's laboratory began to collapse on itself, destroying everything within it. Haku leaves with smoke and flames behind him, determined to find Lara Kai, and to tame her for good. But would the burning laboratory be a mark for her to leave that dimension for good? Or will it take something else to divert Lara's attention from her madness?

He doesn't know what will truly stop her, for she is both the unstoppable force and the immovable object, never wavering, never forgetting her intentions. Haku hopes, however, that she will come home for dinner one day, even if it's for a short time.

Finally.

Serious Haku, something that I should do whenever I want to break his goofball aspect. Cantrip-level is what Haku's Fire magic is, compared to his absolute mastery over the Water in the original work. But I might also make his cantrip abilities a foreshadowing... Canon or not, I should really give Haku some attention.
