What is Gabi's Talisman? 

Gabi's talisman is a plain, black leather choker. He hasn't realized that there's now a strange, faint pattern on it.

Why is Gabi taking it with him? 

It's a bit like a comfort blanket for him, and he never takes it off. It is the one thing that connects Gabi Hardie, Fiddlehead, and Vertigo, so that's how he continues feeling like himself.
