The Ginkgo stands for resilience, hope, peace, love, magic, timelessness, and long life, as well as the duality of masculine and feminine
Marigolds symbolize positive emotions and energy, but also jealousy, grief, dispair and mourning, and are associated both with the Christian Virgin Mary and the Day of the Dead
Both plants are associated also with vision, and between their sense of duality and the importance of Trigger's vision to his past work and how those choices impact him now, they seemed really fitting.
