Drowning

Prompt #1 - A Poor Fit

Your character’s current element is confusing, irritating, frightening, or maybe just plain boring to them. Through art or writing, show how your character’s current element does not work for them. Do they have a hard time controlling it? Does it feel underpowered to them? Overpowered? Does it simply not work for the magic they want to be able to perform?

Upon crossing into the paperverse, Veronica not only temporarily lost her ability to talk to her friends, the spiders, but she also started having dreams where she was drowning, and where she would wake up choking up water.

Something had to change...

Agreed gave me goose bumps. From the color choices to the pose, this is beautifully done.

You really REALLY got the feeling across in this - it's perfect. the colours, the empty depths, the air bubbles surrounding and choking her as they escape to the unseen surface above - a very evocative piece that screams of the discomfort Veronica must feel.

Thank you! <3 I love that it all came through! I was just trying to make it sufficiently "nightmare", and if that came across, I couldn't be happier!

Oh thank you! I've never done anything quite like this one, at least not recently, so I'm so glad it reads right!
