MISSION: My Badge...: My Badge...

Exploration teams were formed for a single purpose.  Sometimes that purpose took its members into dungeons.  Other times, it brought them to bustling cities.  And while the locations often differed, the heart of the mission remained the same.

 

Exploration teams were formed to help people.

 

Now, Lucy may not have been a part of an actual exploration team (yet), but nobody needed to know that.  After all, there were people that needed help!

 

Plus, making friends with a lawyer could be really useful for when he inevitably got caught without a team license.

 

"Alright, Mister… Phoenix, was it?"  The vulpix asks, tilting his head a bit as he speaks.  It's an odd name for a luxray.  Then again, parents had been giving their children weird names lately.  While the pokemon in question is likely too old for the current trend, maybe it happened however long ago?

 

It's really not important.

 

"Do you remember who you were last showing the badge to, and where?"  That's always a good thing to figure out, even if it could be considered a bit redundant.

 

"I don't, sorry…" The luxray trails off.  A pause.  "Oh, wait!  I was in front of the building, by the sitrus bushes.  Maybe it's there?"

 

What kind of lawyer is this guy?  Those bushes are on the other side of the building – There's no way that he needed to show his badge back there.  Then again, maybe he just liked showing it off.  Lucy would do the same thing with his guild badge – if he had one.

 

"It could be!  If the badge is gold, it might have blended in with the berries."  See, Lucy is already solving mysteries!  The guild should totally get back to him and stop ghosting him already.

 

The badge, as it turns out, is in fact in the bushes.

 

"Thank God it wasn't stolen, right?" Lucy laughs.  The luxray, on the other hand, freezes.

 

"Oh my God," the Electric- type begins, dawning horror on his face.  "Somebody could have stolen it while it was missing.  Thank GOD we found it."

 

You know, maybe this guy wasn't the best choice for getting Lucy out of trouble.

 

Oh well!  There's other lawyers.
