Hey everyone! 

I saw an ad for this place on chickensmoothie and as a person who loves to create characters but cannot for the life of herself write a coherent plot or story for them this sounded like something right up my alley! So i decided to give it a try--it looks really interesting!

With that, I do have some questions if anyone can possibly offer tips or advice. I added an existing character of mine on here but since it seems like they introduce their own plot elements i was wondering if it would be better to instead make a new character that better fits into this world?

With that, they mention the PaperDemon species, but my (admittedly superficial) attempts to figure out what exactly a Paper Demon is have not been successful. could anyone point me to maybe a page that explains the species or something?

Hi there! Welcome to Paperdemon!

The challenges here are intentionally loose so you can have a lot of creative freedom with your characters. You can interpret the prompts in any way you like.  You're free to use your existing characters. They don't have to fit the existing lore. 

As far as I know the Paperdemon species is still in development.  You may get more help in regards to details in the discord.

I sometimes fall into the trap of pidgeonholeing my characters into their designated stories but I had the ~grand epiphany~ that this could also just be an AU version of my gal that nevertheless help me to flesh her out even if the plot doesnt totally match, lol. No promises that i wont end up succumbing to my obsession with making new characters though and make one specifically for this lore later. I'll definitely have to reach out to the discord and see if the folks there have any other tips too. 

Oh yeah, feel free to make characters specifically for this arpg if you like. Let your creativity run wild. ^^ AU versions of characters can be fun. I hope you enjoy your time here.
