Would you like critique on your art? Comment here with your account, and lets see if we can help you out. I specialise more on semi realism humans, but people may watch this forum and know how to help you if you have other styles, so please feel free to step in and help others if you can too!

    Rules:-

    • Please post works that are you trying your best, and disclose if a piece is still work in progress
    • Please advise what you would like guidance on specifically in your work, and what you don't want guidance on. If you're unsure what is wrong then this is acceptable too.
    • Please provide context to your picture so we understand your intention with the piece.
    • All replies are given with the intention to help you grow as an artist. Please thank critiquers for thier time, even if you don't agree with what they say
    • Please ask for clarification if you don't understand any advice
    • If you feel that a critique has stepped over the line of good intentions, and is genuinely hurtful, please contact a moderator to address the issue.

I will add or clarify rules as the need comes up :)

this is Aline. I tried to make her porportions fit a more cartoony style (big eyes, small face), but I feel like she just ended up looking like a little girl? for context, she's supposed to be 16 years old. Any advice for keeping the sort of cartoony style without her looking so young???

I could give feed back on that, but she looks like a 16 year old to me. Like... if you gave her a shorter stature, rounder facial features, and stuff I'd be all well just sharpen her features and make her taller, but you have that. She even has puberty signs with small breasts. She still looks petite, but she's clearly not a pre teen.

She does have a cutesy vibe about her thoguh- maybe that's what you're picking up on. Can you tell me a bit about her? Perhaps her personality isn't coming out in how she's portrayed.
