Brief biography: 

A hybrid born from a dragon and a mortal, the life of Arius started out as nothing short of chaotic. Memories of his mother were seldom. By that time, many had denounced dragons as nothing more than monsters. As it was unsafe for her and her children to remain together, Arius' mother sent them all away to a sanctuary within the mountains, where they'd be kept safe. The matron that ran the sanctuary was a good friend of Arius' mother, and made sure all of his brothers and sisters were cared for. 

For the sanctuary to keep up appearances however, it was run the same as any normal orphanage. This proved to be a great risk, as some of the children were soon adopted out. To make matters worse, the matron showed sign of a sickness bad enough to hinder her duties to the sanctuary. It was inevitable her work would come to a halt as well, giving her no choice but to allow the adoptions. Eventually, Arius was adopted by a man who had lost his family some years prior, and taken to one of the nearby kingdoms.

Shortly after arriving to the kingdom, Arius learned that the ruler; King Zoves, held a strong hatred for dragons and those with dragon's blood. While his adoptive father was accepting and helpful to Arius, it wasn't long before Arius was found out to be a hyrbid. From there, Arius had no other choice but to become a guard for the kingdom in hopes to stay out of poverty. Despite the challenges being a guard would bring, he rose through the ranks to guard captain. 

In becoming captain, Arius was sent to an ancient tower where he met Princess Camille. Confused by her sentence to serve in exile, he questioned her place in the tower. From there, he learned more about the kingdom's harsh rule and the even harsher future yet to occur. As more time passed, Arius' bond with Camille grew even more, and it became clearer that they had fallen in love.

News of this love spread across the kingdom, eventually reaching the ears of King Zoves. Angered by this, more guards were sent to the tower. At first, Arius put up a more defensive strategy, as he wished not to harm fellow guards. It remained that way until one guard revealed that his adoptive father was sentenced with treason and killed for all he had done to help Arius. 

From there, Arius did not hold back. He and Camille fought alongside each other, and the ancient tower soon collapsed. Battered from battle, they escaped, and continue to travel together to this day.
